Is there any way to add WebP format to be an acceptable format for pics used in this B2S Designer?
Backglasses with alot of animations create a huge B2S file.
It has the potential to cut file size by 67% just by converting png pics to WebP format.

It was added to VPX7.2, so was just wondering if it would be hard to also add it to this B2S Backglass Designer?

Thanks for all the work being done on this!
It is appreciated!

Sounds like a good idea, just add it as an issue on github.

I just downloaded 1.27. When I try to open a .directb2s file I get nothing.  Does it have to be a .bs2 file?

If you are trying to open an existing .directb2s file you need to click "File" tab at top left, and click "Import directb2s backglass file". (As seen in pic)

Noob question: Can you add reels to a backglass that doesn't have them?  Like, if the real table didn't support it, can you still add it?  I'd like to free up the DMD screen for static images.

I'm having an issue when trying to change the DMD image from a DirectB2s import.  I'm running B2s Designer 1.27 and using a recent example Directb2s

Flying Carpet (Gottlieb 1972) b2s with full dmd.    If I open B2sDesigner and import directb2s - Flying Cartpet, then import dmd image and pick a png that I want to show up in the DMD area, then delete the old image and everything seems fine.  I then export the Directb2s and crash.  Any ideas on how to get by this.

I have checked the resolution and tried both png and jpeg without success.

I'm not familiar with this program yet, but I would check that the image size / resolution are correct.

If it were possible to increase the space between one reel and another,

100 is not a sufficient value, the numbers of the reel are too large when a greater distance is needed.

Thanks.

I have problems with the new set of credit images just imported, I get a white image as if there were no digits,

instead, the images I imported for scoring work,

and i wanted to know if there is a limit on how many pictures i can import for credits.

Since I do not get any updates when someone writes here, I am a little late with replies... this was finally reported as an issue on github in november and hauntfreaks has reported it as well lately.

It should now be solved with the fresh version 2.0.0 of B2S.Designer

It still doesn't work for me,

the import of the new set of images seems to be successful,

but it is empty if combined with the credit reel, and it gives me an invalid reel error if I export the backglass.

Maybe the "B2SBackglassDesigner.Import" XML document can give some clues to my problem,

but unfortunately at the moment the forum won't let me attach files, I'll try again later.

Recently updated from 1.3 to B2S Backglass Designer 2.0.0

I like to change the LED lighting on the early SS machines to a non rendered LED.

I found using 2.0.0 I could not create a new b2S and the program just hangs when trying to export a new b2s

It never seems to create a new backglass.and a cntrl-alt-del is needed to close the 'not responding' program

I went back to version 1.3 and immediately it worked again??

Running Windows 10 / 64 bit cabinet

Is there a way (or feature request) to export reel images? Say I have an EM that I like the reel images on, and want to use those on another table?

UPDATE:

I once again tried the new 2.1 B2S Backglass Designer

I like to change the LED scoring style on early SS machines to a 'non rendered' LED as I just find they look more like the real thing..

Once again, I found using 2.1. I could not create a new b2S and the program hangs when trying to export a new b2s.  The program creates a folder in the Projects folder, but no B2S......

It will not create an updated backglass.file.  Only a cntrl-alt-del is needed to close program as it is in 'not responding' status

If I go back to version 1.3 - it immediately saves a file and works as should

I'm running this under Windows 10 / 64 bit cabinet
