Hey JP! Sorry if you see this comment twice.

Love the table! but I too also have issues with the table volume, crazy loud table sounds, no sound for rolling ball etc.. Here's the kicker, the table sounds perfect just running it from 10.7 latest beta, but launching it from popper its crazy loud. VPW just released a Maverick table and they had similar issues and fixed it in their latest version 1.1  see their changelog comments- https://vpuniverse.c.../?tab=changelog

You can increase rolling sounds on line 648 in script by lowering that 2000 number. The closer you take it to one the louder the rolling gets. You can also adjust sounds in the sound manager. I got my rolling sound set to about 500. I did not have issue launching this in popper.

Positional sounds are all wave files, only voices and music are ogg. You just need to use the latest beta. You must have an older beta of the VPX 10.7 which is the one running. That's an old bug that has been fixed. So just check your exe files.

ogg sounds play fine on 2 different laptops with crummy sound, so i dont think it is the table/sound files at issue

Are you launching directly from VPX? or a frontend?

Should make 0 difference as far as the ogg and wav sounds playing, but works fine both direct and from pinballX
if it only screws up for you when launched via popper, maybe something amiss in the popper config

I would think it would also make no difference considering it sounds great without launching in popper. Who knows tbh, I will see if I can ask VPW what they did on their end to fix Maverick. This is literally the same exact issue and they fixed it today.

No I turned that off. Plus I even turned the volume down on the pc to make sure. This isn't something like that, some of sounds of the game like music is fine, but another example, the bumper sounds are so loud and distorted its definitely not right. I'm reaching out to VPW to see what they say.

I originally had that version and went to the one JP mentioned to see if that worked. Still same so I went back. Does anyone have popper they can try to launch from and see if it happens to them too?

So I'm willing to bet this has something to do with what I'm experiencing, I sent a message to VPW and see if they can throw some advice our way.

As for DOF...

I just added JP's Deadpool onto DOF Config Tool

Table name:

Deadpool JP

romname:

jpsdeadpool (to match what shows in the table script)

This is an empty config, and needs the DOF commands to be created and added on DOF Config Tool by someone.

The table looks like it has DOF and a bunch of triggers added to the script already.... so JP if you can tell us what previous table you used as your base script then chances are someone can copy over the DOF commands from that and most of it would work "ideally".

That said, someone really needs to take the time to test it all to be sure its good and works correctly, etc.

Sorry, it won't be me... I just came off working on adding DOF to BM66 for a week non-stop, and I'm balls deep working away at my Silent Hill table, and also have another possible project I need to do soon.

I forgot to ask this question this morning after testing last night none of the OGG sounds are working
Try in 10.7  = r213 and r196 & r258
Other games with ogg sounds are working

My sounds are now working
In VP sound manger 10.7 was messed up but I still don't understand how other games could work and not this one but now they all work
