Unlikely unless the table appears in the VPForums download list.

Unlikely unless the table appears in the VPForums download list.

That may be unlikely, if the table is still in the retail channels

i guess the author  of the table will have to make that decision. i cant remember his name and as the table works well might not need updating for a while?

Author got an account on this site too. But, under a different alias. Like what the others say, if the table isn't updated here - there is really no point in keeping the support questions here either. Support questions sometime leads to an update, but, in this case. I don't know.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

When did it get to the point where someone can outright call you a douche or whatever they like here on the forums.
Its people like jamal1234 that makes authors leave the scene. I stopped uploading tables due to the disrespect of people like this.
Although i guess I'm just a douch fan boy or whatever you said as well.
I guess banning people doesn't happen anymore like back in the day when i got banned for telling shockman to go fu k himself.
Kind of sad.
But i guess getting your enjoyment trolling people on the forums gets your rocks off. So continue.
I just find it amusing how someone so new has such a self-righteous opinion about everything and thinks his opinion holds up to people who have contributed to the comunity for years or in some cases decades.
But anyways, read this topic and found it amusing.
Please come and blast me with some of your so witty comments, can't wait.
I have thick skin and have no issue telling you to go f ck yourself.
When you start making tables for yourself and not just bs mods so you can get your name out there maybe someone will have some respect for the comments you make.
Just my 2 cents.
Proceed with bashing each other

Wow. I just read through this thread. Wtf?

Guys, I have to be aware of issues like this, so please use the report button. I can't possibly read everything, every day.

For those members being belligerent, please conduct yourselves in a manner conducive to progress of some kind. Cussing each other out and calling each other derogatory names doesn't fly anywhere.

Thank you.

Yeah. Well, that jamal guy and another turd got kicked out of vpinball, that is also why gregh43 is constantly being an ass towards me I guess. But, this is your site, your rules. You at least told him to calm down on the last attack.

Well, to everyone, everywhere, leave your problems from another site at the login button. We're here to recreate and enjoy pinball, not witness animosity bred elsewhere.

I've become more patient over time, but the ban button still works. Lol

As long as they're 3 years old, we're all good. Gary Stern himself asked us not to do new games, and we're going to have to honor that. He has my number. Lol

I would imagine that would entail a lot of video and music clips in mp3 and mp4 format?

Since this is coming up a lot...

...I have my PinEvent FP tables that use pup-packs. Some are small... others are larger. The main reason they haven't been here is out of wishes from the author who's table I modded.

That said, for anything else... is there any problem with me posting a PinEvent table here and including a MEGA link in the download description that goes to the pup-pack portion? (PuP and pup-packs are not required to play the table, only for the PUPDMD features, and the PuP-Pack).

This way the table will still be here, but the large file sizes are off-site and won't be a burden / issue.

They are all either original tables or old tables modded to the point they barely resemble the recreation they were based on.

Also, if for any reason the author of the table that I modded changes their mind down the road, will it be a problem to have the tables removed from the site?

Can you just update your four horsemen table already?!  That table is sick, and I would love to have it on the cab.

Noah. No, spike1 is the first generation spike systems - still using regular DMD.

One of the best machines ever made is in that list. Game of Thrones. Very deep rule set which I love.

Terry, I'm going to be blunt, and it's DEFINITELY not you. I just want to be clear ...

If the original author doesn't want it here, we don't want it here. I'm sick of that attitude for the plethora of reasons I've stated lately. If people can't give back, or give in the first place, I'm not interested in hosting it. Also, to be clear, if it's a MOD of an existing table here, it belongs here. That's what giving back means.

VPF, myself, the members of VPF, JP, destruk, the developers over the years, and the numerous founders of VPF have all done a SHIT TON for this hobby, and we're done being the object of ire over whatever imaginary bullshit created (or fabricated, in my observations) the disconnect.

I know that may have come off harsh. It probably is. We're fed up being the 'stinky kid in class', when it's our hard work that's been fueling this hobby.

If it's 3+ years old, that's what we agreed to do. I see no reason why not.

My big concern, as you know and seem to agree with, is hosting files in mp3 and mp4 formats. It's all about the container. If you import music into a VPX table, it's not at all the same as hosting mp3 music files.

I totally get it Noah, and most of what I'm talking about are tables that didn't come from here as far as I know (some are new tables). The big problem tends to be some authors simply don't respond to being contacted very often if at all.... so I always try to be courteous where possible. It was never about not wanting to upload anything here.

...but to the other part of what I said... would posting only the tables here, but including a link to my own Mega share for just the pup-packs off-site be fine? I'm talking zip files that can range from 500MB to just over 1 GB. My intent is to take away any burden or issue from trying to deal with large file sizes on the site... especially since I tend to update these on occasion.
