Ya. Bob sent me a link to his website.

Well, he is relatively unknown to me anyways. Please don't take his comment to personally guys.

That would be a very sad thing UW!
I for one really love your tables and was looking forward to the update of CFTBL. cray.gif
Hope that the ones who appreciate your work could still take part of your great creations.

Best regards!

Alright, I give up... after Sinbad, all my releases are going private. You guys just aren't worth it...

Some relatively unknown dude named "MrHide" makes this comment, and you group us all into one? Hope not.

I guess it's easy for me to say, because i am not the author.. But you just have to let comments like these roll off your back.

His post came across a bit rude, but I don't think he meant it that way. I think he was just trying to point out something that he noticed.

I am probably gonna get beat up for this...

Rawd, I must agree with you. I built 1 table (Scared Stiff) from scratch (excluding the code) which was horrible according a good percentage of the comments posted. I thought that I had done a pretty good job given the fact that it was my first table and that I had no prior experience with building. After reading many of these comments, I was discouraged enough to abandon any future table building attempts and just leave it to the experts such as kruge and UW. I regret not sticking with it especially now that time is not something I have to spare for such a great hobby.

We have so many different people, cultures and personalities on here that it makes it tough sometimes to decipher what someones intent or meaning is. I guess that what I am trying to say is that as hard as it is, it's probably best to just ignore any comments that just piss us off, and on the flip side, consider how our statements are going to be interpreted before posting.

I have a great deal of respect for the table authors and appreciate their efforts. These tables take so much time and effort, how could you not!

I also have the Left ramp problem.

Not only does the ball get stuck (in multiballs ) , but it doesn't even go trough.

Thought it was my PC , but now I have another one with the same issue , tried two versions of vp also.

Did anyone of you find a fix for this ?

Please correct my English if it is necessary.

Any funny words or sentences you can teach me are welcome too !!!

This way I'll learn about pinball but English as well.

I could have sworn that UW said he was going to give this the 9.1x treatment (ramps and such). This is one of my favorite VP tables so I hope that's the case anyway. smile.gif

This will be fixed in the update. I'm redoing all the ramps for alpha, just having major ball stutter issues.
I'll post a link to the website it will be available from

Are you working on this with a UVP backglass UW? If yes, have you tried deleting some (or all) of the light bulbs in the UVP server file? How does it play without a UVP backglass?

No it's the alpha ramps. There are a ton o ramps making up those clear plastic ramps. For it to function right I may have to use a combination of the old style trans ramps and the alpha ramps. The ramps below another clear ramp will probably be the old style trans ramps. The bowl alone is made of 40 or so ramps.
That many alpha ramps creates quite a performance hit

Are you able to turn some of it to acrylic to speed up performance? Basically whatever sides of the alpha ramps where not seeing the ball through the plastic doesn't effect gameplay.

Well I can set some of them to solid which helPs, but due to lighting effects on the plastics and such, it looks trance with the
Not changing under certain parts of the ramps.

Maybe someone else on the forum will do a daytime recreation where this won't be an issue.

What about doing a single non collidable flat alpha ramp in a circle like a doughnut (maybe the image could help with the illusion of the bowl shape) and build the actual bowl out of non-visible collidable ramps?

Yeah I'm doing that already. It's the other big clear ramp that's killing me. The lights are contained in the side wall so it's double the ramps on that one

Oh, righto then. You just mentioned the bowl total with the alpha ramps performance hit so I got confused.

Just a quick update on the issue I was having with the left ramp. One of the control points near the top inside curve didn't have smooth or slingshot checked. I checked smooth and the ball now makes the ramp every time. I don't know anything about table building, I just tried it and it worked so it may not be the correct fix. Just thought I'd update since it does seem to have fixed it for me. Thanks again UW for the great table, still one of my favorites to play.

I have tried , but all of the checkpoints seem to be smooth . It is a pity , the ball gets stuck most of the time during multiball and doesn't go trough at normal gameplay.

I cannot wait. This is one of my favorite VP tables and is so fun to play. The added bonus is that it's a UW table. One of the tables I use as a 'reference' VP table is Fathom. So much detail and plays like a dream.
