Ramps on my games just look like a checkerboard pattern of pixels that I assumed was to give the illusion of semi-transparency. My new monitor is very clear so I can see the crisp edges on HD pixels, but the illusion might work well on a CRT. Am I missing something?

Or can someone show me what alpha ramps are supposed to look like then?

As you've posted this on CFTBL, just to point out this table does still have the original checkerboard ramp system (stippled pixels) rather than the alpha ramps (due to performance issues I believe). If you try for example JP's latest Medieval Madness, that has alpha ramps...

Oh, I see. biggrin.gif

It looks and plays great. There is no performance difference for me compared to the stippled pixels, which is pretty much what I expected, and a relief of sorts.

/starts looking for more tables with alpha ramps

Yep, me too!

When I shoot the left ramp, the ball just bounces back! I am unable to make any left ramp shots...

Open the table just pull the ramp(elbow) a bit down. try it.... this will fix it. Don't forget to save.

Sorry but I don't see what u mean. What's the name or number of the part that need to be modified, and the parameter that needs to be changed ?

These alpha ramps will be the most hated feature and feature that killed most tables.

Now when i download new table with alpha ramps i have to think carefully will i delete the old version or keep it cause newest versions usually stutter and old one plays smooth.

Totally agree with you there Blur.

Yep , +1

I have buy a new graphic cards for tables VP9.12 and monopoly , monster bash, etc...

I too would like to know how to fix this...

Or even better would be to see an update posted with this fixed.

EDIT: Forget about it. I found that Scapino's version works fine in VP9 and plays a little nicer too (IMHO). Thanks anyways

I just downloaded CFTBL v1.1 (Desktop) and played a few games. The table plays great but I have not seen the creature hologram once.  Any idea why the creature hologram never appears? I am running VP 9.9.3 on Windows 10.

Tried VP 9.2.1 and the creature hologram appears! Thanks.

I didn't think to try an earlier version of VP

This table is worth an update to VPX. Is something planned? :-)

I need a pic of a stripped Soccerball PF to even make an attempt on that (even if it's low res, so long as it's mostly flat).  Batman DE and Wipeout is what's kept me busy recently.  I also need to get going on assets for White Water for flupper too.
