As here are some FX veterans, which table is a must have? Recommandation for a first purchase anyone?

Yes i read that above, Open FX2, Close, Open FX3 ... but it doesn't allow me to use Cab Mode ...

I had the same troubles, before ZEN sent me the authorization code. Did you ever need a code for FX2 ?
Under some circumstances some users did not need a code, whereas others needed one (I cant remember, why, I guess it had something to to with purchase date)
Back to the problem, I never needed a code for FX2, cab mode was always open for me, so I think, that therefore the described procedure (open/close FX2) did not work for me too.
But do not worry, you will certainly get your code soon ;)

Why is it blocked, if i want to Play on 270 Deg. Fullscreen ... crazy !!!

That has a valid reason, Zen wants to prevent commercial use of the cab mode !

Hmhh difficult, they are all nice, do you have special preferences for themes or characters ?

I bought the Alien 3 table pack and the pack with Doom. Even though there are still tons of moving 3D graphics they feel more like true pinball tables than FX2 did.I like both packs equally well. They are pretty awesome! Doom was really great the first time through.

Also, my cab code came through to FX3 with no issues.Did not have to reenter.

Universal pack is next!

Interestingly, I had the same issue with my desktop... until I did it using the pinball computer setup (both are set up for the same Steam account), at which point it worked, and began working on the desktop as well. Although if you contact Zen, they should be willing to front a new code, they did with me in case I didn't get it synced up.

You can activate the cab-mode for fx3 with the same activation-code you used for the cab-mode of the fx2.

OMG ... where is the Weekend ... ToDo: Install ! :shok:

Thanks for Info !

Guys, are there Backglass Images / Files included ?

Hey Stat,

You have to disable Backglass videos and just use Backglass images in order for the Backglass to work in Pinball X. I had both and Pinball FX3 would not pull up any Backglasses until I removed the Videos from Pinball FX3/Backglass Videos folder.... But Pinball X does support PFX3.  Cab mode worked pretty much automatically by importing my settings and all the previous tables. There is one change from PFX2 to PFX3 though, in order to run the table directly from within PinballX you need to change the parameters line to this:

-applaunch 442120 -table_[TABLEFILE]

I posted at pinballX but I cannot get tables to launch. I am using 2.41 and Tom's settings.

change the parameters line to this:

-applaunch 442120 -table_[TABLEFILE]

Oh very cool! Time to upgrade my PBX! :D

Have anyone been able to launch Pinball fx3 from pinball X?  I attempted to use the same settings as pbfx2 (with the new pbfx3 paths) but haven't had much luck.

Thanks!

Its on my list for the weekend to try out.  Well, more precisely, launch from the command line, then try PinballX.

Go over to PinballX.com and have a read.  It sounds like FX3 integration is done.  I will be trying it on the weekend.

change the parameters line to this:

-applaunch 442120 -table_[TABLEFILE]

Hey Guys.. I did some digging. In order to Launch the Table directly from within PinballX you need to update the Parameters line to the following:

change the parameters line to this:

-applaunch 442120 -table_[TABLEFILE]

https://steamcommuni...41765147980879/

it's not only to change the parameters like mentioned, you also have to change the exe-parameter from "pinball fx2.exe" to "pinball fx3.exe". i changed this two parameters in the  Pinball Fx2-entry of PinballX-settings and everything works great. so you don't have to copy backglass-, dmd- and wheel-files to another directory to be displayed in PinballX. For the in-game-backglasses just copy the png.- or jpeg-files from the steam-fx2-folder to the corresponding folder of fx3 in the steam-directory.

In 2016 I had to send a photo of my external 28"  monitor sitting vertically next to my laptop. I hadn't even started my cab yet. They said no problem - LOL

I do believe they actually stated that "can rotate/arrange monitors like a pincab" qualifies for the code. I know mine did, with a pair of Dell 20" 1680x1050 monitors, I can pop them off their stands easily to make a rough "mark 0" pincab on my main machine.

I also had to sent a picture to get the code for FX2 a few years ago. Hope to find it in my mails. :-)

Per steam

If you had cabinet support working in Pinball FX2 previously, please
follow these simple instructions to update cabinet support to Pinball FX3:
1. Open Pinball FX2
2. Close Pinball FX2
3. Open Pinball FX3

But as you can read above, it does not work for everyone  ;)

I totally understand the precaution and the measures ZEN do!

As we have seen before, Chinese companies build large amounts of cheap pinball cabs, put the software on it and sell it (not only to private persons but also to public places). And it is certainly not in ZEN's interest to see PBFX (probably even cracked) there!

No, Steps 1 to 3 didn't work for me, maybe you have to be online, i don't know and i think later i was in Offline Mode, can't remember, was too angry atm.

Ok i got the Key in the Morning, and test it later at home ...

I recomend ZEN, to give an Update for unlock this to everyone - WTH why not :help:

From playing the (short) demos I really like Doom too. Also some of the Star Wars tables, and older ones like Earth Defense or the underwater Junk Yard - Secret of the Deep :)

Have to check out the Alien and Universal tables again. ..... I guess in the end I bought them all lol

Yeah, it might not be the quickest way but at least the do offer cab support to the players - which is very much appreciated.

Which ones exactly ? The three Bethseda tables and Rogue One ? No problem, write me a PM, every media file available, I made all of them by myself. Also available on my folder on PinballX FTP!
