Many thanks Batch, this has inspired me to make a backdrop myself, for another table, although I'll need to take a step up from IrfanView if I want to get any good with this :)

I had one pinball laying behind balrog, but without to nudge the pinball, balrog moves and it fell down itself.

I do not see this as an error because also on real pinball it occurs often that a pinball can be stuck. Unless JP does not see a bug, I see it as a feature. :)

Are you sure that the sound setting is everywhere correct? Does an older version work?

... makes sense, thanks

Of course I always like to have the best possible LOTR version too. :D

Ahhh the good old days, had a commodore PET (kicking myself i gave that one away, they are valuable now), then a 64, then an Amiga.

After the Amiga i got a 80186 and from that machine on it was x86 all the way, those computing days where much, much more interesting !

Ohhh and it makes me OLD  :tapping:

I started with Basic on a Sharp PC-1401 with 16Kb, then 1403H with 32Kb ... later i made some 5 x 7 Pixel x 16 "Images" and "Animations" - and yes: Games, what a Time ...

Sorry, late to the "old guys" party. Interesting to hear so many of us arrived here following similar evolution path, no wonder we all got the VP bug now.. Got you all beat though  :) started my adventure with a Sinclair ZX81 1KB computer. Yep, 1KB RAM. Had to manually input pages of code just to move a stick figure across the screen..  Moved on to a Sinclair Spectrum 48KB with a homemade cassette tape drive (anyone remember playing Knight Lore?), Commodore 64, then Amiga 1000 which was nothing short of spectacular in 1986. Still got it to this day, stored away here somewhere...

There's no DMD displayed on the table unless I enable the option 'use external DMD (dll)' which then works, but is in the background :pinnochio:

Sound is really low too.

Can anyone help me with this please?

edit: I've fixed this issue by following instructions on http://www.vpforums....showtopic=28074, where someone noted ''Look for hidden in the table script and change the 1 to a 0', so I opened up scrips window and changed the first line from '    VarHidden = 1    ' to '     VarHidden = 0    ' and now the DMD works and I can edit the sound by pressing 8/9 on the keyboard, respectfully.

What an excellent table btw. Great fun. Much to do, lot to hear which I like.

UPDATE

1.1.0 Updated 24.12.2018

  • - New backdrop for the desktop version (thanks batch)
  • - new flipper settings (+ fast flips)
  • - changed some of the sounds
  • - added more saturated colors (using the ColorGradeLUT256x16_HalfSat which is between the 1to1 and the ConSat, they are also in the table)
  • - changed environment image to my latest
  • - changed some materials to give more reflections on the toys
  • - added some positional sounds
  • - changed the fading lights script to a more simple routine with a slower timer. More close to the original.
  • - If you prefer you still can use the script by Thalamus (you will need to add one line in the fading lights for the f27c flasher, and change a "fx_hole-enter" with "fx_hole_enter")

The table was saved with the latest beta 10.6, but it can be used with 10.5, but I guess you all want the new reflections/sharpness of 10.6 ;) I love how the ball reflects on the toys :)

Oh, almost forgot: Merry Christmas to all!!!

Merry Christmas to you too brother.

Quick question, what do you mean when you say "(using the ColorGradeLUT256x16_HalfSat"?

LOTR is one of my absolute favorite pins of all time, so you gave me a small x-mas present with this surprise update JP !

Very happy to see that it has SSF. It just makes the table so much more enjoyable for us that have extra speakers implemented.

Merry x-mas JP and everyone else in these forums !

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Merry Christmas to you too brother.

Quick question, what do you mean when you say "(using the ColorGradeLUT256x16_HalfSat"?

Is the image used to color the table, for example if you want to age the table yellowing it, contrast it, etc.,

there is a drop-down menu in the backdrop where to select the image.

Thanks, Merry Christmas.

Yea I've seen those images before and have no idea what they do or how they work? lol

Think I had a sticker that looked like that on my skateboard when I was a kid;)

I can see what's going on now... Always learning. Thanks Kiwi;)
