I have Mattell football and the other handhelds on my bartop as well as Stella. That covers all of the Mattell, Coleco, and Atari console games. :tongue3:

My dad got me a Mattell Baseball back in early 2k, and that one was probably my favorite among the box of electronic handhelds (non-Tiger) I had. Didn't need any Gameboys thanks to emulation haha.

Anyone tried RetroFab yet by a very talented developer named Itizso? I just came across these very cool handheld emulators today and can't see them mentioned in this thread. These mainly run in browser but can be full screened and are fully 3D so you can spin the devices around, even check out the boxes and manuals in 3D. There's also some standalone donkey kong emulators that can be run offline.

Same developer also has some other nice stuff on his page including the holographic handheld that never was... complete with holographic remakes of classics.

There's even a holographic remake of "Pinball Action" in the games list as well as :
1943

Tetris
Pacman
Frogger
Asteroids
Space Invaders
Moon Patrol
Rally-X

This RetroFab version has to be one of the best simulations of one of the worst pinball games ever.

Wildfire by Parker Brothers - 1979

Anyone have one of these as a kid (or currently) or even seen one in the wild?

There is a VP8 version (Might need to use the old VP6.exe) of Wildfire at IRPinball under the Computer Games and Toys section. (Along with many oher interesting Toy Pinballs)

This Visual Pinball version was made over 20 years ago!

Hit R to see rules.

You can also hit N to see the places where nudge works.

Ha... hadn't seen that one. Rules seem a little more complex than I had first thought. The RetroFab version also has a copy of the manual (in 3D as well).

One cool thing with RetroFab is because it uses webGL, I'm able to play most of these games on my Xbox One X (not series X) in the edge browser.

For some of the games you need to set up the keys to change the Xbox controller mapping. Dpad works straight up but the button for jump/action etc needs to be assigned to the X button on controller (cant assign to A X or B, since B is also used to back out of webpage and causes a conflict). Developer will eventually implement proper controller support but this works ok for now.

Some of the RetroFab games cause Xbox Edge's webGL to crash if using HD setting in the game, but SD setting works ok for most, trial and error (restart edge if webgl crashes). Some games such as the Panorama devices dont work at all for some reason, have sent a bug report to developer.

It's pretty cool to sit on the couch and play these on big screen rather than on PC. I only have a 1080p TV so not sure if they will work ok on 4K.

Would be interesting to see if they also work on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S in their respective browsers.
