Don't you think Unity3D Pinball will take over and continue where FP stopped? FP tables can be imported there very easily and capabilities are far beyond FPs abilities...

Id like to think so - and thats why im chomping at the bit for the release. They just keep making promises of release and it never seems to come to fruition.  Its a shame - as they look like they really put alot of hard work into it already.

Frankly, I don't think that Unity could do better than FP+BAM (with relative updates) Never tried Unity because don't work for me but what I've seen is only "Fx" (and activating post processing fx in BAM you can obtain same results graphically) ...concerning the physic, never tried the Unity physic but keep in mind that even FP physic has been not yet completely explored and used to his maximum potential.

FP is closed-source and stopped (?), ...but as you can all see...is not stopped at all and it's even not so closed since third party genius changing costantly this software (read BAM for example), while other people changing physic in every aspect because physic is completely open....and it's also more open than VP to the point that everone could change it...so

Do we need Unity waiting for it as a revolution?...not me for sure.

The Loafer said something very wise, but as Carny_Priest said: "this is the internet" and this forum is a sort of snake pit for FP user.....and that's the main reason why I post my FP works here, attacks and doubts are budgeted and I'm not a person who likes to argue basing on words, convictions, preconceptions or even nothing.

Mine is an invitation to try before talk.

Unlike TheLoafer, my approach is not to take FP as it is but as it could be...and I've my personal opinion on the FP physic since I've the opportunity to play many real machines,...yes I prefer FP physic, and obviously I'm not talking about the actual one but the one that will be...

I'm pretty sure that you have a big problem with your FP installation.. And probably even with the audio configuration. My advice is to reinstall FP and BAM following THIS GUIDE

Even if the physic is far from perfect in some tables you've tried, the ball never stucks and the crashes you have it's an obvious symptom

You're right, my FP table testing has nothing to do with with this thread, so i deleted my posts.

To be on topic: my testing made me looking forward to your table even more. :)

My hopes are still for Unity3D Pinball as the developer of FP stopped working on it in 2010. As the program is not open source there are only a very limited way of improving the program. As far as I know only graphics processing and physics parameter (not the engine itself) can be changed. Would be interesting if the physics engine could be updated because the open source physics FP is using has received major updates in the last few years and it's only a dll FP is using. Maybe somebody can do that in future. But all in all as Unity3D punball seems to be a honorfull successor to FP I think this would be the better way than just saddling the old horse...

So the only thing I would like to say is that I hope that this MM table will be available for Unity3D, too.

Yes, very much. It looks like real. In FP, even with BAM, you can always see that it looks a bit artificial. But in Unity3D Pinball the appearance looks like videos from the real machine. I think over time the illusion will be perfect. I really hope that the performance is good enough on my setup. I like the capabilities of FP. Really I like it. But I was never a fan of the physics and the not very up-to-date graphics engine, even not the custom physics plays the same as I'm used to it on my real machines (VP10 is very much closer). But as FP tables can be ported to Unity3D we could have the best of both worlds! At least it would be a dream come true. :)

Pincade, I tried your Abra Ca Dabra and Buchaneer, and they are by far the best FP physics I have played! I am very impressed! Look forward to the MM!
