you CAN use something else like a drop wall that overlaps (which is what I use for the flasher between the pop bumpers there)

well normally i use dropwalls for that, but i donīt like to use them on flashing objects, cause dropwalls look darker, so the flashing effect
just donīt look "flashing".

Well maybe in the next version of Vp9 the overlapping Reels are supported ( The largest Stepback from VP8-VP9)
They worked so good in Vp8, and now they just leaved them away sad.gif

GRONI

Drop walls should not look darker ever. If they're darker looking than other lights then you have table shadows turned ON. They must be turned OFF for drop wall lighting to work correctly. You can add your own shadow effects by modifying the general playfield, etc. in Photoshop. I hope this helps.

Working with destruk on WWF Royal Rumble taught me a lot of scripting. If you'd like to do this, I'll show you. PM me.

Thanks for your quick reply Groni.

Concerning World Cup Soccer '94 I have "all the time in the world".

But it would be very nice if it could coincide with the World Cup 2010 ...

This really is an awesome table. Thanks very much for the hard work.

I am experiencing a bug however, for some reason the decals used in the table do not have alpha channels so the are outlined in black.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so how do i go about fixing it?

Thanx in advance.

Maybe You have ATI card, am I Right. I have the same thing on my notebook. Turn off Hardware Rendering.

I'm still  here!

cool.gif yahoo.gif hi.gif drinks.gif bar3.gif Groni, first i want to wish you a very happy birthday, and many, many, more to come. Ok let's get onto your Twilight Zone, i have to say i think you have outdone yourself with this table, it blows my mind i feel like i'm in an arcade playing a real pinball machine. Thank you very much for your hard work that you've put into this table. I have only 2 gripes about this game first: the flippers strength seem tight when i hit the ball it feels like i'm hitting a boulder, how do i make the flippers stronger. and second i notice during multi-ball or sometimes when the ball goes down the right turn the ball goes right between the flippers and i have no way to prevent it. Other then those two things the game is awsome. Now i'm looking forward too your No Good Gophers table, but like i said take your time rest a little bit, and thanks very much for doing No Good Gophers. Well i'll talk to you later and thank again and enjoy your Birthday. Dave P.

After playing it numerous times to make sure this is really my assessment...

It looks GREAT, but doesn't play anything like the real table.

The left flipper has no chance of hitting any of the ramps on a roll through the inlane?
On the real machine, I can hit the camera almost at will with either of the right flippers.
The right eject shoots into the top two bumpers where it dances far too long.

This is probably the third most often played pinball for me, and would like to see it play like the real deal. Mind if I MOD it to play more accurately?

I agree with these 2 quotes...the table looks wonderful, a fantastic job.
...however the flippers are far too weak.

Dan.

Yeah, that's what I meant when I said the table is a tad on the hard side. It feels quite awkward when playing.

hmm i have no problem hitting the Ramps from a rolling ball from the inlane.

well i have played about 4 different TZ Machines, and any of these 4 plays different, and on no of these 4 Tables, you could shot the
Camera from the lower right flipper. The Table is made for shooting it from the upperright ( Thats what the upper flipper is for ). If you hit it
from the lower flippers, its just an lucky shot.

I agree with the Bumper Problem. The dancing is too long, but i already fixed this.

I will fix the Problems and release them with the next update.

But this will be after my break. I have to visit the GamesCom tommorow till Friday. ( Once again I love my Job wink.gif )

I hope on the Weekend i can do this.

It is an absolutely beautiful table Groni! You always do professional work.

I agree with some others about the flippers. I adjusted my end angles from 73 & -73 to 68 & -68 and that seemed to help a lot on the rolling-inlane shots... maybe too easy, but I think it plays a little more realistic if anyone else wants to try it.

Yeah, those changes make the table play better, that's for sure. Still can't hit the lock consistently, but eh.

800 mil on my first try, and drained my last ball with LITZ lit. I felt like smashing my screen.

68 reminds me of old JP Settings. Beginner Angle wink.gif

I adjusted the whole flippersphysics. 71 is the Maxvalue i think. More would be unrealistic, since i try to have Close To Real Physics.
Kinda hard for this table to find the right value, cause you have a shot in almost any possible Angle.

I've played it more and more and it's getting better. I think it's the Oblique Correction that makes the flippers feel strange to me.

Great job, GRONI!

This is certainly a good time to be playing VP!

The Lockshot is now better possible with the new Settings. From a rolling and a holded Ball

I donīt understand the Oblique Correction for real. I donīt get a feeling for what Values are realistic or not realistic...

It was created to allow for shots straight up the middle. So, the higher the value, the more up the middle the shot tends to go, I believe.

Some of these things are vague, since there has never really been a manual for the latest settings.
