Question to all:  As I stated in another thread, I have a personal preference for a view that gives a bit more depth.  I try not to play around the zscale too much since many table objects tend to be moved around too much and typically get the same result with some changes in inclination, layback and field of view.  This still ends up with stuff like flashers needing to be moved but I think the end result for me anyway works a bit better for that "back of the table depth" I am seeking.

Attached is a WIP I'm working on, still some work to do, some of the volcano lights aren't quite right though the main lights seem alright so I may leave them as is.  This pic is best viewed from a cab perspective (ie: standing at the end of your monitor, I don't think it has the same effect looking at it at your desktop monitor.

This is just an alternative view I don't think its better or worse than the existing view. Thanks to LoadedWeapon who's graciously offered to include it as an alternative table within the download package.  However, if only 1 or 2 people like this view, I'd rather just supply everyone the backdrop settings and the flasher names and x/y location changes which really can be done within about 5 minutes from the editor (well 5 minutes for YOU guys, it sure as hell took me longer to find them and them find the new location! LOL)

please comment, no need to be gently ;)

I think it looks damn good, a little more depth makes the tables look even better IMHO, so yes please I would love more tables with your view :)

Ok the update is up. I would like to mention a few things about some messages received and comments posted...

First I know some think I might updated to much but for me I want to have a complete table uploaded and be the best that I or someone that helps me can make it.. Be it fixes or enhancements. Not everyone downloads the table the first day or reads thru all the posts when they download it they shouldn't have to hunt for a fix or mod... Maybe I could beta test more.. we will see.

Second some ask about GI8 and that they don't notice a difference. Well JF could prob tell it better than me but here goes... GI8 is just the steps between the GI lighting turning off and on. And with this table the GI being on 85% of the time is why you prob don't notice it..(except during multiball and jackpots) JF added that for his use and was nice enough to share it with me and said I could upload it. So that goes back to me updating and trying to give everyone the maximum experience that I can provide. :)

Last I just want to say that I like feedback/suggestions good or bad and it don't bother me. Please feel free to say anything...But keep in mind I am doing this for me and my enjoyment so if I don't do something you might want don't get upset or take it personal. I am glad that most are enjoying the mods and I will continue to make them and share them with the community. I know I will never make everyone happy and im not trying too. But we are all here for the same reason and thats this great hobby of pinball that we all love. So help support and make this community better in anyway you can. Alot of people here spend alot of time to improve this hobby with no pay to them. So a kind comment/support goes a long way. Remember this is all free and for FUN!

Well thats my word for the day.. let me get back to my mod :) Just remember to have fun and enjoy this great hobby! :)

great post!  Hope no one is actually complaining as this is nothing compared to the seemingly daily updates from a few old time authors back I the day (and that was ok too ;)).  I for one appreciate that you want to make this the best it can be and feel free to update this another 10 times.  finally, your approachability is pretty awesome, thanks for considering our suggestions

I do have to say that I like having the option of a less dark playfield. Masterful job on the lighting!

Why would you even care if a table got updated 30 times a day? It just means the table is getting improved and if you don't want the improvements don't update or just download the update every few days.  It would be the same as waiting a week to release a cumulative update.  I like finding new updates when I log in, the only complaint I have is sometimes I miss the updates.

In response to "too many updates", people can always just wait it out for a few days to see if more updates come around.  Or I guess there's the flip side to that is, LW you could always wait to see if any other potential changes come up before uploading again, either way doesn't bother me to see someone try to get things "just right".

Hi the loafer,
Thanks a lot for the new view. I applied a similar change to mine, but got intimidated by the volcano lights, and preferred to wait for another version.
So I'de be more than happy to get your version, or apply the changes with your values.
Btw, I've made the same kind of changes to the SW NM, and will post the lights values as well as a texture for the death star door soon in the layback thread.

@LW,
Love your NMs,keep them coming :)

Pinball999:  it has been a busy day but I should be ok to take care of this tomorrow night (I suspect those added lights may need to be moved).  Is that ok?
