I've had no luck in Pinballx getting the older B2S back boxes to work (the ones that are .exe files). No problem on the .b2s files. Hyper pin works fine when I was using it. Does Pinballx support the older .exe b2s screens?

A few people are saying pinball x has a menu pop up when you launch a table.  Settings exist in the software to change this.
Also on Pinball X the game editor is much easier than editing files when adding new tables.

Plus the most amazing thing - Pinball X and everything else is FREE - what a community !

The only thing you need to pay for is your OS choice, and licenses can be picked up pretty cheap for XP/7.

My preference is:
Windows 7 64 bit

Pinball X

Pinball X has a way of lauching FX2 pinball as well, and custom menus.  I made a custom menu to run a different version of VP for the 'Phy Mod 5' games.

I used to hate the popup menu that comes up before launching a table, but soon became used to it, and see its value.  PinballX all the way, and its author TS seems like hae really cares and fixes problems really quickly.

I curious though if there is a way to stop the secondary menu poping up, not sure how to change options without the secondary menu though.

I'm sure there's an option to boot straight into the table without showing the menu first.

thanks hauntfreaks, never saw that option.  PinballX 2.0 it out and it has support for B2S, although I have not tried it yet.    (nevermind I see people posting about it already)

Those with Hyperpin .... why??? It's been smoked by PinballX. I don't see any benefit to HP over PBX.

no, that's not valid because ford and chevy are relatively comparable. blondes and brunettes have pluses and minuses. hyperpin has nothing on pinballx anymore. It's more like ford and saturn. or ferrari 488 gtb and a saturn ion

My fv table movies are so lagged in pinballx they never even show up, ill see adams family table video playing as I click to tables already in the letter "C" and adams family video table is still playing!

other than this issue I have to figure out, pinballX runs smoother , loads faster and sooooo much easier to setup.

Win 7 64 bit , 8gig , ssd 250Gb boot drive, every was flying with hyperpin, but got sick of bugs and problems and sligh lockups - so I went to PinballX and basically configured everything I was using in Hyperpin, so easy to setup...but the table videos definatley have an issue, not sure what it is.Its almost like once the table video does not change when you scroll tables, it just never comes back.  changed through 6 tables and all videos showed elvira, once I hit 7th table, it changed, then got stuck again later.....very odd. going to try to install that shark codec now.

yeah that's not normal. I use shark codec and never have lag on videos. I do not use vpinmame in pinball x that caused some lag but very minimal like 1/2 sec delay but was noticable

Shark Codex fixed all pinballx issues, running like a champ now.
