As I mentioned in a previous post, I, too, am having trouble with the dB2S closing. I'll be working on it again today.

Didn't you post that you made the switch to PinballX, and it just worked?

I switched to pinballX since I was tired of waiting for a solution/fix.

 

I thought you were also experiencing the same crashes with HyperPin, so I was assuming you were trying to find a solution anyways since you are building/selling machines that folks would (Id assume) want to work with HyperPin...

 

Im also still waiting for the replacement you were going to send (to address your new controller that would keep the calibration settings between power-downs).

The crashes are apparently an issue with VP 915. Using the latest beta has fixed this. That was the difference between your setup and Aaron's.

 

As for the plunger, I'm awaiting the next batch, and it should be here this coming week.

If you look at posts 17 and 23 and 37, I explicitly stated that Im using IDENTICAL software setup to AAron... As in VP, HP, tables, etc.... everything. Same NT, same .NET, etc, etc.

 

I went so far as to actually run a mirror of his setup (provided via USB).

 

The ONLY difference between out setups is hardware: I have a DMD display and your new plunger kit.

Just to let ya know, I did update to FP launch 1.295 wip 10 since I sent all those files. 

What is the problem your still having lowepg? Just your plunger?

Make sure you are using vp9.1.6 and latest revision ( found in koadic's signature)

Is your VP crashing?

Do you have the latest vbs scripts?

Unfortunately I'm unable to help with anything pin dmd.

lowepg, I was having issues on VP crashing when entering. Turns out if I didn't have the pindmd powered on/connected to USB....VP would crash every time on startup. Not sure if its related..... Z

Thanks for that comment, as I'm starting to think it could be related to the pin dmd (and being connected and such) as well.

I've heard similar scenarios from others who have pin dmd, but can't test it out due to , of course, not having a pin dmd, only a 3rd monitor.

I just updated my PINDMD firmware to the newest because I was having the same crashing when exiting a table in Visual Pinball. My firmware was 4 versions behind the newest version to date. http://www.pindmd.co...ds-v2/firmware/. I believe my firmware was 509 or 536 forgot which one. I am hoping this makes some kind of difference because I looked at everything else with my software and hardware. The problem I believe is either the backglass d2bs server or the DMD. This firmware issue was something that jumped out at me so I just tested my machine after the update and everything seems to still be running smoothly. The software on the PINDMD site to do the update is a bit sketchy. I had to run the demo software in WIN95 Compatibility mode. You need to run the software to perform the firmware upgrade. I will keep you posted with what the outcome turns out to be.

2 issues:

1, VP crashes when exiting d2bs tables with IDENITCAL setup to yours (except pinDMD and VirtuPins new plunger kit)

2. Plunger has not worked right from day 1.... a replacement has been promised.... for a while. Im wishing I had the one that works- not this prototype from VirtuPin :-(
