I finally had micro stutter cleared on all my tables, and then this bad boy comes along.

Not sure what is different about this release but it is hell on my system.

Still playable but noticeable.

Hmmm, I may be wrong but it's probably because of all the alpha ramp flashers.

For this release, I changed all 4 red and 3 "ring" flashers. Different flasher images and in the editor I checked the box "additive bi" something.  You'll see it if you click on the big square objects in the editor. This makes the flashers much more intense I believe, but may use more resources. Maybe you can test it out and report your findings?

im wondering if a db2s would use less resources than a normal b2s?

theoretically they should be the same , but idk.

It's ok.

All my other new tables with the new flashers play awesome. NBA Fastbreak, Jokerz, Mousin Around, Playboy, they all play just fine.

Seems to be just this one. Not really a big deal, just thought I would note it and see if anyone else was having any issues.

Yeah that is the curse of being in the front-line of new developments. Just ask Galileo.
You both can be very proud though, your continues efforts are making this world a darker place. ;)

I'm just thankful these wonderful authors have allowed someone like me to mod their wonderful tables.

This is a great community.

Long live night mods!

v2.2
Changed alpha ramp flashers
-checked off "normal 3D Stereo"
(this was causing flashers to have nasty side effects and unnecessary ball stutter. I suggest turning on Region Optimization in video settings of VP editor).

Anyone else knocking the red ball loose?  It fell down to the flippers the first time I hit it.

Could have been a fluke but it happened 10 seconds into my first game/ball.  I'll have to play it some more and will report back.

I had once the red ball off his area in the previous version, played with it a couple minutes, that is not very fun, too big to enter ramps :D

I knocked the big ball loose too. Got stuck in one of the orbits :)

So far happened only once... but something that probably could be fixed if you're still updating the table.

Need some help please guys - I have never been able to play any version of cirqus Voltaire. Each mod or update makes me hopeful that the table will just play, but I always get a script error, and can't get it to run. I'm on 9.1.6 r628, and I always get this error but only on cirqus Voltaire. Any feedback is so appreciated.

Do you have the latest version of the VB scripts?

Curious, can you play the table without the b2s backglass going?
(In VP without Hyperpin or a front end active?)
I'm thinking its a simple error with something to do with b2s.

Thanks for the idea - I tried with backglass false and removed the b2s table file - same problem:(. I don't understand how the top script line can be red especially with ' in front.

Once it errors, any change to the top line makes it green again, I compile, close the script, relaunch the table and same error again & again.

Any other ideas - it's crazy not being able to play a top 10 table

OK, figured it out...you need to change the 2.1 to 2.2.

it should look like this :

'********************************************************************************************
  LaunchBackGlass "Cirqus_Voltaire_Night_Mod_[aaron_james]_VP916_2.2_FS_B2S", false    'True=Launch bg ,  False=Don't launch bg.
' SetB2SData 5,1 'ENABLE BALLY LOGO ON DMD SCREEN FOR 3 SCREEN CABS
'********************************************************************************************

**** Sorry, i forgot to change this before I uploaded it ;-)
