Has anyone else had problems getting a db2s screen to work with this table? It says there is a controller error when launching. No issues when running with UVP. I have over 160 db2S working tables. This is the only one I can't seem to figure out.

I've replaced my ROM (BR_L4). Cleared my rom registry. Tried other db2s backglasses. Verified my set controller line is accurate: Set Controller = CreateObject("b2s.server")

Any suggestions?

Maybe check if you still have a timer that should be removed ?

Thanks for the quick response.  I don't see any obvious timers to remove.  I went ahead and tried a few just to see what happens.  It didn't seem to make a difference.   What is weird is that it works fine with UVP but doesn't seem to want to work with db2s.  The first error it displays is VPinMame ver 01120110 required which gets triggered right after the b2s server is loaded.

That's exactly my Problem here. Let it run with PinMame Controller Object, all is fine.

Let it run with with b2s Server Object it says: VPinMame ver 01120110 required.

 

is the b2s Backglass broken?

Try to move controller line few lines up - my script looks like this:

 

Option Explicit
Randomize

LoadVPM "01120100", "wpc.VBS", 3.26
Set Controller = CreateObject("B2S.Server")

 Const cGameName = "br_l4" ' Black Rose ROM L4

 

This solved problem for me!

(great table and amazing recreation btw)

I tried the same Backglass File with the old 2.0 Version of the Table, there it worked. Then i tried the 2.1 Version from Lord Hiroyu and there i got the same Problem.

 

Any suggestions, somebody please?

Last suggestion:

Rename table to "Black Rose.vpt" and backglass to: "Black Rose.directb2s" - I struggled with exactly the same problem for a long time, then I moved controller line few lines up, renamed table and backglass and everything started to work...

 

If you look inside backgalss file it contains: "<Name Value="Black Rose" />" so possibly renaming was solution?!

i tried to rename the Files, but that also didn't work.

 

There's a disturbance in the Force here, i guess...

 

Anyway, to cut things short i will "fall back" to a UVP Solution. Maybe i come back later to this Problem...
