Actually that's not sufficient. I tried the table with no backglass being active but the timer and subroutine still in place and the garbled digits were still there. As soon as I removed those, the problem was gone. Not sure why would the mere presence of those cause any issue, but that's what I found.

The UVP could be updated or people have the choice now with a nice new directb2s. Win-win
