Having played the real table alot this game is spot on. especially 1) The mine entrance is really that hard in real life and 2) The boulder garden is really that unpredictable in terms of sending the ball to the right outlane. Thanks for a great table.

Often the kickback misses the ball and the ball drains. I know this can happen on real machines though... just sayin

I also came across this bug.

This happened right after I hit the insanity falls and my ball jumped off the ramp at that same spot down into the pf. The 2nd time, i got that error when the ball reached that spot.

This also happened when I minimized VP to read a post and came back in like less then 2 mins. I guess that could of caused something but I'm not sure.

Hello Sabbat!

I got the same error before so i pm'd JP about this.
The answer was:

"But that object required I guess it is because the collision subs. So just comment the line 1241:

' If Err Then Msgbox Err.description & vbCrLf & iball

Greetings
JP"

Now its not "Object required" message anymore so it worked for me.

Hope it helps to you too

I made a small change to a sound problem, I replaced:
with bsTrough
. InitSw 15, 76, 77, 78, 0, 0, 0, 0
. InitKick BallRelease, 180, 10
. InitExitSnd "Ballrelease", "solenoid"
. InitEntrySnd "solenoid", "solenoid"
. IsTrough = True
. 3 Balls = 3
End With

PD's VP8 version doesn't have the level of unpredictability that this version does when the ball drops from the boulder garden. In PD's VP8 version it always drains to the right inlane (always).

Now in this version a ball dropping from the boulder garden is risky.

I love it, thanks JP, Noah, and Grizz.

Excellent flowing game.I bought this game new from distributor.Plays very fast-had to relace a lot of playfield parts-hits everything hard.Machine not broken in yet I guess.A few notes on you table:

-Ball somtimes just falls through the whirpool/comes of leading ramp
-ball easily reverses back up and down upper ramp when hit by upper flipper
-waterfall ramp-sound of ball hiting glass-yes it does on lower hump ,thank you
-Got to special feature where everything goes haywire-excellent.The first time I made this feature I shut off the machinethinking a serious software glitch. dblthumb.gif Steve

New version 1.1.0 Updated 15 September 2012
- Updated some graphics & sounds
- Changed some settings and VP ramps
- Updated the script with a faster fading light system for the lights made with alpha ramps. This one uses the "alpha" statement for easy updating.
- Updated the ball collision with destruk's vpm changes.

I think I have taken care of all the small bugs. Just tell me if you still have any problems with the table.

Hey JP. Thanks for the update, but I don't think the flippers are correct. Both the left and the right one steer of too long to respective side.
Aim for the middle and you will be shooting far left or right.
Am I the only one with this problem?

It is by design :) People complain about my flippers being too easy, hehe, not with this one :)
But if you want you may increase the oblique correction from 4,5 to 7,5 and they will shoot more to the center (I guess the first thing many people do is to change the flippers to fit their preferences, that's what I like of VP)

1.1.1 Updated 16 September 2012
- adjusted the flippers a little more :)
- fixed the ball falling from the left ramp.

I adjusted the flippers a little more so they shoot a little more to the center. The good thing in VP: you can always change them :)

The ball falling from the left ramp wasn't easy to track. But one of the changes I made was to change the "Contact Scatter Angle" on the backdrop settings. That had an impact on the ball on the ramp, since there is a kicker there to help the ball make the ramp, and that contact scatter changed a little the ball movement so the ball didn't make always and it stopped between ramp segments and it felt through. The ball should never fall out of the ramp unless you bump the table or there are two balls at the same time (rarely though).

Fun stuff, JP---the flippers do fine hitting center shots, and after bouncing from one to the other, 'radical' backhands are possible, which I like.

What I've run into is, after having a good multiball and reaching 732M (third ball with one Extra), the bonus failed to tally after the balls had drained; turns out that a ball had become stuck somewhere it shouldn't and wouldn't shake loose, even with slam tilt. This has happened a few prior times, but this time slam tilt rattled the ball to where a 300,000-point switch got hit and sometimes registered multiple hits. I've never played the real table and don't know if a bumper hit can ever be worth that much, but the sound seems to be that of a bumper, and the only visible clue is the slightest bit of pulsing light under the 'boulder' prop above the bumper at X/Y~698/1016. (Under the AR3gi stack)

Has anyone run into this particular mislocated ball before?

Gregg

EDIT: Going to consult the rules sheet regarding 300,000-point scoring items

2nd EDIT: Bumper hits start at 50K, and DO increase to 300K---and even 500K during Boulder Bash, so at least the lost ball is located.
