Maybe you can post a screenshot (just like 1234fd , without the code) of your ini-file (paths and executable are important)
and mention which table you want to start and the the path to it and the full filename.
Maybe we can find out what seems to be the problem.

Did you download the table from vpforums with the original name ?

Improved some of my first scores too.

Have fun!

When Aliens Attack...and JPSALAS bonus pack Worship.gif
This is the first (hopefully of many) themed PINemHi Tournament(s).
It's also a trial-run to see if it works well...

PINemHi Tournament catches the 1st player score(s) and can send that score to an online database.
You can choose between 9 tables (18 if you count the FS versions separately).....

To take part you can drop a line in this thread.......
I will then PM you with your user and code (otherwise your scores aren't gonna be accepted by the database) and the program.

Should work for XP , VISTA (with UAC turned off), Windows 7 ??? (I haven't got 7 yet)

These are the instructions that come with the program:

QUOTE
PINemHi_Tournament is an online hiscore database for Visual Pinball Games that use vpinmame.....
This is what you should know before you start......

Unzip the complete PINemHi_Tournament folder to a folder on your computer

Before starting a game :
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Open the pinemhi_tournament.ini file

Under [path]
Fill in your vpinball executable with full path after VP=
Fill in the full path to the nvram after nvram=
Fill in the full path to your tables after tables=

Under [user]
Fill in the name you want to use after name=
Fill in the code you got after code=
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* The name (standard request would be your vpforum-user) and code can be obtained if a request has been made in the pinemhi_tournament thread (NO PM's please... as my inbox can only handle a few messages)
I will then PM the name and code to you that's needed to enter scores into the database.

Starting a game:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Start a game by doubleclicking pinemhi_start_tournament
You will get a selection of games that can be played (more will be available in the future).
These games have the original name (as downloaded from vpforums), this is to ensure there is no pollution in the database of the same game but with different names
If you don't have the table you can download it from vpforums (please don't rename the tables you already got as it could be another version)
Once you select a game press the run button

Visual Pinball will now start.
Enter credits (if necessary) and start a game (only the 1 player score will be used so no point in starting with more players)
After the game has ended and you want to submit the score press Escape.
The score doesn't have to be a grandchampion score or highscore. The score that player 1 made will be used.
There is also no rush in pressing Escape because the score can be extracted long after the game has ended. Only when you start a new game the score cannot be retrieved anymore.

A window will appear a little while after you hit Escape.
This window will contain your name, score, table you played and the rom used.
It will ask if you want to submit this into the pinemhi database...
Click on the YES button to do so or NO to of course not do it.

When submitting the score the firewall could ask for permission !
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The (hi)scores can be found at www.pinemhi.com/hiscores.php

You can make a selection of what you want to see.
This could be all of your own scores per game (Top10 , 25 or 100)
Or a Top10 , 25 or 100 with all participants per game or all participants with only one score per game

***Try to use the default setting from the roms ,use standard 3 balls per game , don't use buyin's and all that kind of stuff !***
***Cheating is of course always possible but this is just a friendly competition so please fight the urge if you should have it***

*Vista users might want to turn off UAC before starting a game or the program won't work very well.

Have Fun,

Dna Disturber

As far as changing the ROM game settings to cheat,
couldn't the table script use the sendkeys function in VBScript so that when someone presses the 0 (zero) key the script sendkeys the 7 key,
or when they try to open the coin door with the END key, the sendkeys sends the END key twice to close it?

As for the keys.vbs file, the file could be inserted in the table script as text assigned to a DIM, then compared to the keys.vbs file in use to detect illegal changes, either that or the tournament table script could write the text to create a second keys.vbs file that would be the one used in the tournament. It would be nice if these files were held in memory instead of being written to HD.

In the old days the tournament tables were custom scripted and locked, but they didn't use VPinMame. The VPinMame .vbs files and sendkeys security measures should be a function of a locked table script.

"You do not seem to have this table"

- Table downloaded fresh from site / named correctly
- Directories in cfg file are correct
- Tried in XP compatibility
- Tried running in Admin

Must be a Vista 64 thing.

I got the "You do not seem to have this table" problem at first. I swore that my directories were right.

VP=C:\Program Files (x86)\Visual Pinball\VPinball.exe ------------------------I had a lower case'p' here in VPinball.exe
nvram=C:\Program Files (x86)\Visual Pinball\VPinMame\nvram\ ------------ was missing the '\' at the end
tables=C:\Program Files (x86)\Visual Pinball\Tables\---------------------------was missing the '\' at the end

Thanks, but still no luck. My vpinball.exe was not capitalized, and neither was 't'ables. It still cannot find the table.

Visual Pinball doesn't have to be in program files, does it?

EDIT: Yay! I was missing a '\' at the beginning after c: smile.gif Thanks for making me look a 12th time. smile.gif
