Sad to see you go JP. Take a break to reflect. BTW you are the man there are so many high quality tables you've created. They were all cutting edge you will be missed.

Also wanted to say, i would be open to paying per table directly to the author. If you would like to get back into in the future.
This may reduce some people capitalizing on free work you've done. I'm sure others would be open to the idea also.

It was bound to be that it would go wrong sometime .. since FS Tables are pushed because of commercializing the idea of recreating FS Tables in a real Cabinet there's profit at stake and we all know what people are capable of when there's money involved.

I LOVE the posibilities that have been worked out over the past 1,5 years in respect to recreating a Virtual Table as close to a real Table as possible, but there's always some that do not respect the hours of work been put into recreating Technology, Tables, Backglasses, Cabinet improvements etc. by the Authors / Community.

It comes in very handy to have a community figure out all the aspects to make it happen and simply 'copy & paste' the solution into profit ..

I do respect JP's decission ..

Entiendo tus motivos, tu las diseñas altruistamente para tu disfrute y el de los fans de los pinball, y van otros, y aprovechando tu trabajo, ganan dinero.
Espero que solo sea una parada temporal y vuelvas a disfrutar diseñando mesas y compartiendolas.

I'm a follower of yours tables since I discovered the world of Visual Pinball and VPForum about a year ago. It is a shame that you leave the design of these fantastic tables that you made, they're awesome!!
I understand your motives, you design it selflessly for your and the fans of pinball enjoyment, and others taking advantage of your work to make money.
I hope that is only a temporary stop and return to enjoy designing and sharing tables.
We'll wait !!!!!

This is sad news indeed! JP's tables are all top notch and were the driving force behind me building a cabinet. Shame on Bifuca for trying to profit off the hard work put in by people like JP and others on this site. If it's any consolation, I don't think they will be selling too many of these ugly looking machines with knockoff tables. Seriously, who would want to play a game called "Mad Professor" or "Super Hero" when they can play the real games on a far superior 3 screen Virtuapin for around the same price with UVP backglasses and superior everything. This Bifuca project is all full of fail!

JP, thank you for all the hard work and dedication that you have put into this community! You deserve a well needed break, but I would love to see you return again to making tables someday soon! This place just wouldn't be the same without you!

it's not that people would rather play "super hero" or something akin to that but they may not ever be made aware that these pins ARE available free so they just buy these cabs and blindly pay for more 'updates' meaning more stolen pins as for Bitafuca or however it's spelled there will always be someone somewhere making an illegal profit off the pins. hey if it's a good product more people try to copy it (or steal it) so VP must be doing something right if it's being ripped off that much, yeah it sucks and we do try to stop all the illegal auctions but we just cannot get them all all the time...
and I disagree on paying for the tables. This is to be a free site if we were to pay for each table I would never download any of them being on a fixed budget also the same goes for a monthly stipend of any type some of us here are paying members but to have to pay each month for a free forum well that does not sit too well with me...

Personally, I do not like the Idea of locked tables or paying for them. I have a cab and I add in the UVP settings to the script, if the table was locked how would I do that? Also, most of JPs tables have the DMD setting in the script that make it so the DMD will not work on a cab becuase the DMD is roated. We all just go in and change a 1 to a 0 to fix that.

On the other hand. I have checked many times and have never found a paypay donate link for JP. I would love to donate if I could. My donation would be a thank you for all of the tables he has already created. Not some kind of bribe to get him to make more. although I will admit, I hope he does come back and make more because his tables rock!

Also, a few weeks ago, I was thinking that why not all chip in and get this man a 3 screen cab? (I never posted the idea but I did send JP and email at the time thanking him for his work). We would have to make sure he would want one first and has room for it, but heck, there are so many members that could chip in. Just a thought I had and at the time I didn't have any idea that he might be taking a break from making tables. I just would like to see something nice done for someone that has contributed so much to us.


BTW Noah, I don't know how hard it is to do or if you would want to do it, but if you could click on a members name here in the fourm and on the dropdown list there was an option that says "donate" that would be really cool. There are lots of other great authors (not going to name names since I'll prob leave one out by mistake) that I would have donated to already if I could just find a donate link for them.

Some guys here are taking this too seriously. I mean, you do realize that Dracula is going to be his last table for now? He's not going away permanently. At the rate he churns out tables, he deserves a break. Let the creative juices come back in.

I realize that JP will probably take a much needed break and then come back and work on creating tables again because he enjoys it so much. And nobody would need to donate or anything else for that to happen. I've just wanted to donate to him in the past as well as donate to this site but I could never find the donate links. I asked Noah for the donate link for this site and just took care of that one.

If it came down to locking tables, It wouldn't be difficult at all to include a .vbs linked to a utility button that could interface options via cab buttons and/or keyboard keys for UVP, DMD rotation, and any other adjustments that are scriptable.

It would be a shame to not be able to tweak certain physics aspects, but I can see this situation necessitating some change in how we publish our tables.

Obviously, more discussion is needed here, but it's a start.

I will never take money for my tables. But I have accepted several pay pal which some users have sent me. I really appreciate that But I'll never sale my tables, that's not me. I like to make tables just for fun , and I actually enjoy better making them than playing them.

Also some are suggesting to lock the tables, but if everybody did that in the past I should have never learned how to build them. So I'll never lock my tables. I could have written some more comments in my scripts, but I'm terrible describing things

So after Dracula, which it could be ready by this weekend, I'll take a break, and we'll see what happens after a while. Just now I feel like burnt out. I guess I'll feel better after while, mostly after shooting some aliens or zombies

JP you have my support. Thank you for your enormous contribution to the virtual pinball, which has undoubtedly helped to bring happiness to many lovers of pinball. Relax and enjoy and hopefully one day come back and have fun making them and we can re-new tables have yours.

I understand you have been wronged and that is very unfortunate.

But , I'm sure you know that is not any of us, your faithful fans on VPForums, that have done this.

Of course , anyone who produces tables at the rate you do, needs to take a break, and I think we all understand.
Someone as nice as you does NOT deserve to be ripped off.


I guess what scares me is that a few other talented authors, like Pacdude, Scapino, and Groni left and never came back.

Ppl are taking this too seriously. JP will be back, he just needs a break, which is probably long overdue. Done & done. Simple. Let's stop making a big stink out of all this. For those who really want to take action, this would be a great time while JP is on vaca for others to try their hand on making tables.
JP, thanks for not listening to the nonsense about charging $ for tables or locking them. It is by far the right thing to do. Nothing is worse than a locked table. Hate to say I'd rather have no table than a locked table, but its pretty much true. I need to be able to tweak stuff or else VP is nothing more than an average PC game. The editor is what makes VP special. With no editor I'd rather play pinball on my consoles (or Pro Pinball) all day.

This stuff happens, nothing new. & let's not forget people, that like 7 or 8 other authors were also stolen from (& over the years basically everybody has been). Let's show those guys some support as well. Just because they aren't taking a break or leaving cuz of this doesn't mean we should ignore this fact.
Also we need to be careful not going overboard complaining about these guys. There are degrees of things, but there is some of the pot calling the kettle black going on, technically.

I take breaks from the editor all of the time, the only difference is..... No one notices when I take a break. LOL. I bet people would PayPal me money to stop making tables. LOL

I followand play their creations for many years and am continually amazedevery time I play, thanks for answering the times I had a problem. I amclose to turning 40 years old and really after a long day of work is agreat therapy and a ground wire to enjoy this great game ° VirtualPinball ", until my children 6 and 3 years old I expected play somegames with them.

Do not let unscrupulous people with bad and poor decisions led him to abandon what has been until today. Everyone in the forum we arehurt by what he has done BIFUCA, but you must understand that the world is not perfect and there are people like that.
