If you are using Windows 7 run the program in Windows XP compatibility mode. That will help with the program not closing properly.
I have the same problem with the black screen photos with the FP tables.
My FP tables take so long to load, (Sometimes up to 45 seconds), that the program just takes a black screen photo.
I just delete the black photo and rerun the program as many times as it takes.
I now have every table except Star Wars with a photo. smile.gif
I have tried the new FP launch as well, but when I press the "0" key. Nothing happens. I have yet to figure out why it will not work for me.

I am running the latest FP launch. Everything works great but the screenshot function.
I have tried everything I can think of, loading the game and pressing 0, starting the game and pressing 0.
Nothing ever happens.
Does the program let you know when it takes the pictures correctly?
Where does it put them when it does?
I must be doing something very wrong.

Then I must have something installed wrong.
When you press o does the screen tell you anything was done or flash or something?

Thanks for the help. It is strange that all the other features work great.
I guess I will have to figure out how that part did not update.

Thanks settingsons
I have just been installing a heap of FP new and updated tables ..... makes it so much easier.

Just to confirm ...... this was the 1st batch done with the 1920x1080 rotated BG screen .... all worked fine.
BG rotated to use a 1080 x 1080 set up

Playfield_Image_Capture_X_Y_H_W = "0,0,1920,1080"
Backglass_Image_Capture_X_Y_H_W = "1921,0,3001,1080"

Have yet to use it for vp,
i have some loading lag issues as well as some graphic errors and lights missing on 1st load ..... so have to esc and 2nd load is fine.

marvelous program otvclap.gif

New Version
I was planning to release a new version of the tool which will mainly include more XML generation options and a HTML report of missing HP objects.

Sounds like a good upgrade ....

Maybe I need to reinstall it.
I will look at it after work tomorrow.

you have to use o - not 0 (letter o like in oooh, not zero) - i see in your first post that you used zero or shift-o.

save is so fast that you don't even see game slow down, and screenshot goes to its normal place

in vp only pf is saved, in fp - pf and bg

Thanks Blur. I have tried both the letter o and the number 0 just to be safe.
But unless I just cant find the photo, nothing is happening.
I really think I must have messed up the upgrade somehow.

Hi Arcade4 - You can ask the program to wait a few seconds after table has loaded before capturing the screenshot by increasing the setting in the ini file for 'showTableTime'. 10000 = 10 secs, 12000 = 12 secs, etc. It may make a difference. If you have all the screenshots now it might be easier to use blur's FPLaunch from now on for the new tables you add (I do smile.gif)

Sorry about your problems cliff. Could you please try and set the compat mode on both the batch files and exe - I am not sure if Arcade had to do that but worth a try. Also please remember to delete both the blank BG screenshots when you re-run the utility, otherwise it will skip the table. If none of these work, it maybe related to the driver issue mentioned at the beginning of this post.

Disregard! I figured it out. I don't guess I had enough coffee this morning and it took me a while to wrap my head around the fact that I was using an expanded desktop! lol! coffee1.gif

How are you guys figuring out the Backglass positions? The playfield pics are fine, but the backglass is still missing parts. I've tried adding both the PF WxH together +1, but it still doesn't work. I'm not really sure what formula ya'll are using. Here are my screen resolutions:

Playfield: 1680x1050
Backglass: 1280x1024

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Brad

Also please remember to delete both the blank BG screenshots when you re-run the utility, otherwise it will skip the table. If none of these work, it maybe related to the driver issue mentioned at the beginning of this post.

Glad you sorted it Brad. That is my fault - I think my choice of name in the ini file was a bit misleading. I wrote it a couple of Christmas's ago and I think I had had one two many beers or something bar2.gif

Thanks,

Brad

If you are using Windows 7 run the program in Windows XP compatibility mode. That will help with the program not closing properly.
I have the same problem with the black screen photos with the FP tables.
My FP tables take so long to load, (Sometimes up to 45 seconds), that the program just takes a black screen photo.
I just delete the black photo and rerun the program as many times as it takes.
I now have every table except Star Wars with a photo. smile.gif
I have tried the new FP launch as well, but when I press the "0" key. Nothing happens. I have yet to figure out why it will not work for me.

thanks i tried that and still only takes black pics
