I love Genesis! An underrated table if you ask me. Was able to play the real thing last year in the UK. Have some issues getting the DMD to display but will try to get it up and running tomorrow.

Still not swapped the cards. Still updating all the vp9 tables and cleaning out crap ones. Missed out over the last couple years.
Up to S. So many S tables.
Just enjoying what I'd missed out on while the cab was broken.

Genesis you get a scoreX each body part you collect and doubles while in multiball. Once at 5x and all parts, assemble at the vari target to collect and reset to gather more X.
Builds to 48X and multiball 96X.

I play both versions and the VPX-version is much harder.

But which settings we take for the VPX-version? 3-balls or 5-balls and extra-balls?

Good question Joey - well, I vote that since you already posted your setting - these are the settings all play with.

And I'm not sure, but I think, there is a bug with the extraball.

I complete  two body parts and extraball is lightning.

I complete the next bodypart and nothing happened.

I never get an extraball.

I think, also you have to shoot at the "Extraball Light" ...

I am away atm and hope for a few Games and big Score soon ...

Yes, I noticed that yesterday. I was - well, never mind that drain ... I have a extra ball ready. Was quite surprised when it didn't give me any. Might be that Stat knows something we don't :-) Guess we learn during this week.

I am not sure, but i think i use the latest from ICP at Vpinball ... maybe also JP can help us here, if there is an Issue ?

As i said, i am away and can check that later ... ( Extraball, hm i think i got some ... )

Na that's right.
If you look at the settings the extra ball is set to novelty and points awarded. So 2 body parts lite xtra ball and 3rd body part collects the points for xtra ball. . You should here the knocker fire of about 10!times.
If you miss the body part when EB is lit, too bad, it goes out. Try again.
Special is the same.

The settings should be all the same from a fresh nvram.
EB = points
Special = points
Replay = points
3 balls.

And yes, vpx plays much harder harder than real pin.
Needs lots of tweak.

My highest game is currently 5 mio. I don't really understand the explanation regarding the extra ball setting. I would expect an extra ball with the dipswitch settings Joey posted but nothing. If I understand DedRok_V only points are awarded in stead of the extra ball. Should/can we change that?

 

I need to look at the full backglass to see my score as my ******* does not work with this table. The funny thing is that the score window of vpinmame is active in the background but I cannot display it via ALT-TAB. Small issue but not influencing gameplay .

Ah - now I understand. Thank you once again Ded. I'm no boss,so I maybe there should be a vote or something around the novelty setting. I don't mind playing for points instead of EB. Thats what the best players in the world do ... and we're their virtual counterparts :-)

 

But, I'll of course follow what you other guys think about the subject.

You'd be surprised how many SS games in vp are set this way.
Points = 500k

It feels like it's been dipped in glue to play on mine. And by the scores, I'm not alone.

I reduced the table slope from 4.75 to 4.5.
And the elasticity from 0.25 to 0.2.
Feels like it made a bit of difference. Can someone try it and test.
Flippers feel too grippy and slow. Like Supa bands dipped in glue.
