Ill grab this version while out d/ling today. Hopefully not too stuttery. Almost cooked the GTS250 other nite.

A tip to high scoring (not that I have tried on this yet) is ramp over and over to build up millions. They add up nicely once at 99M , as on Star Wars.

If ramps hard, 1 - 2 - 3 over and over to get the 5 - 25M then the 50M finale'. Do again and again.

It's good watching all the big scores come in, and there was nothing I could do about it. :otvclap:

While I'm here, seeing is this is where the smart people hang out.

Since updating to 9.91 and now 9.93, also 10.2.1 and vpm2.7 ..... I can no longer start system 1 gottieb tables. At first I thought it was only Astroid Annie, but as I go through the list of tables cleaning out, it seems to be only GtbSys1 tables.
Updated to vpm2.8b02 and still the same.

Only thing havnt tried is changing back to an old script version, but has happened with script update from 10.2.

On the system 1 issue is it that you can't add a coin? They won't take a 5 by default, they need a 3 to coin up. Common solution is to edit the vpkeys.vbs (or something like that) file to fix change it, which you have probably overwritten with your recent updates. You can find it in a lot of the table support threads. I'm on my phone or I would find more details for you. It can also be fixed with a script edit to each table, but phone....

It's a rom path not found error. So not loading pinmame. Nothing to do with the coin up.
Yeah I'm always on the phone and makes it hard.

Yes, the slingshots are terrible. I just play the first few games and I'm ot satisfied with my scores. :-(

90 millions. I have something to learn...

Which caught my attention: The targets sometimes stay up, when you hit them. And I can't get two times in a row go up the ramp most times, because the second time the ball is fast and I can't reach the ramp.

I saw a few videos of the table and for me the elastics are much too high for the slingshots and the flippers in VPX.

But I try too get higher scores with the normal settings. :db:

123 Million here so far. This was one of my favorite tables in vp9. Now even better in VPX. Yes that left lane is a killer. You just have to keep that kickback lit.

If you select the drop targets in the editor and set them to "legacy," they drop consistently (on my machine at least!).

Sorry to break it to you, Scotty: senseless is in the lead with 85 million (See post 513). But -- GREAT to have you in the mix, here!

I mentioned just briefly that I had a score around 200 mill so idk - just checked it ... 207 and small changes. I also just recently discovered the drop target and the solution and was coming here to post about it. But, you beat me to it Ben :-)

Well, doesn't matter - Clyde is of course always in front.

So, I can add a small fix that also should be done - the bullet target on the left, lowest one towards the flipper never gets lit. In the script it is referenced as sw20. Problem is that its name is actually set to sw2.

From what I hear - the original table drains a lot on the left. So, I guess we shouldn't complain much about it and get into jbg4208 mindset. A problem is there to be solved, though I swear a lot when it happens :-)

First game after implementing the two changes mentioned above.

I felt that the table became a bit easier to play now since there are more things that can be completed.

Guess that if Clyde had a table where the targets where working he would be at least in the 300 somewhere.

Doh!  You are right Ben!  HOWEVER, while I know this isn't the highest score, I need to share my accomplishment thus far... a RESPECTABLE Score!  I'm not sure exactly what all I did to deserve this, but I did figure out how to get extra balls, Tri-balls, to renew my tri-balls, etc. and the table totally lit up!  Here is my score... 206 million.  Let the history books this date when Scotty VH proved he is on his way to to pinball professionalism!
