I take one week off to relax and enjoy the peace and quietness on one of the finest Islands the Netherlands (Texel) have to offer and you guys decide to play JunkYard! I really missed out on this one and will try to do my best to do some scoring today and tomorrow... Congratz Joey on setting the bar on 300+ mio for me. This does not help ;).

There are to video modes, the one from AFM, where if you see that you can't shoot all the saucers coming down - quickly press the plunger button. You can do this once. That strategy also works on the original game.

Second, there is a secret mode if you get back in time and the clock down in the right corner shows 03:33 - press both flippers at the same time 3 times in a row.

Thanks, that's interesting. I don't know these modes.

After your holiday you are so relaxed, that I'm sure, you get a great score. :bar5: :drinks:

Congrats to joey2001 with 303,707,210.  Junkyard was clearly one of his favorite tables

I only got a few games of junkyard in and only got something like 16 million. I'll probably never be competitive in these tournaments, but I really enjoy seeing how others are doing and learning more about the chosen table. I am just starting to get the idea of junkyard and love how creative it is!

My score is not high enough to enter my initials yet :(

Well I tried and tried but just don't seem to get a decent score on this table. I majority of the balls escape from the outer side lanes and the left side is favourite.... it seems as soon as the karate kick back is gone the ball is drawn to it like there is a ghost in the machine :). Highest is 85mio..... :(. How is the rest doing?

I haven't had a chance this week to get down to business. Thanks for posting a score to attempt beat though, senseless! Looking forward to playing Thursday or Friday.

I'm struggling with the same. The most enjoyable I've found by the table is the history about the tri-ball and the cow in the video mode. Tri-ball is named just that because of a dispute with Bally I believe it was ( Williams maybe ? )  to use the term MB or not. Payback - put a Cow in video mode and if you able to shoot it. It scores more than the other characters :-)

I know I have a game somewhere around 200 mill. But, I can't seem to get into any flow on this table.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Even with real tables, it usually takes me about twenty games (twenty bucks!) to really feel comfortable with the shots. When I go on trips with friends out of town, they expect me to be able to walk up to a new game and "destroy it" since they know I love pinball and talk so much about it. But often times they end up beating me -- and they never play pinball!

So, looking forward to sitting with this one for a few hours later this week and hopefully finding the flow...

:D

You'll leave the table for something more fun - quickly. That's what I done. But, well - if you get a good score, I might have to try to beat you ;-)

Hard table. I think my goal is simply to score high enough to enter my initials :)

Ill grab this version while out d/ling today. Hopefully not too stuttery. Almost cooked the GTS250 other nite.

A tip to high scoring (not that I have tried on this yet) is ramp over and over to build up millions. They add up nicely once at 99M , as on Star Wars.

If ramps hard, 1 - 2 - 3 over and over to get the 5 - 25M then the 50M finale'. Do again and again.

It's good watching all the big scores come in, and there was nothing I could do about it. :otvclap:

While I'm here, seeing is this is where the smart people hang out.

Since updating to 9.91 and now 9.93, also 10.2.1 and vpm2.7 ..... I can no longer start system 1 gottieb tables. At first I thought it was only Astroid Annie, but as I go through the list of tables cleaning out, it seems to be only GtbSys1 tables.

Updated to vpm2.8b02 and still the same.

Only thing havnt tried is changing back to an old script version, but has happened with script update from 10.2.

OK... I'll post first for Lethal Weapon 3...   60 million (plus a few hundred thousand more).  That will be blown away by the very next person to post their score.  But, for now, let the records show that Scotty VH held the record!

UPDATE:  71 million!
