Have received the board yesterday and successfully tested, it is simply amazing, can't wait to put it on my future cab drinks.gif

I got no problem so far, but I have one remark.

My pc has two OS, one for pinball and one for my desktop, so I often run it without playing pinball.

And until I launch one table, I have the logo pindmd on the display, I would like the display to be empty from the moment I start my machine, for my desktop usage or for playing pinball, until I play a table.

Do I need like an original firmware to update the board with for this?

Yes please, in that case, I don't need to unplug the dmd each time I work with my pc as a desktop wink.gif

Thx in advance

chriz,

Were you able to solve the wrong pixel dots on the left?

Because I have the same issue here, my motherboard calculates the 5 volts at 5.04 and I tried with two usb cables, there are some weird pixels with both cables.

Is this still something that you will/can fix russdx?

did a fast test on some other tables. here are also some strange animations. can anyone check these animations for doublecheck?

Attack from Mars
jackpot animation
multiball animation

X-Files
extra ball animation
shoot left ramp for jackpot animation

Theatre of Magic
magnet-hold animation on the left ramp

The Addams Family
bumper animation

Scared Stiff
part of the skillshot animation

Indiana Jones
A-D-V-E-N-T-U-R-E droptarget animation

White Water
check vid above

edit:

tried a new USB cable, but no difference. also checked the ripponcable twice.

there are also some wrong "pixel dots" on the left from the credit-score (only when the credit-score is displayed) on some tables, like White Water, Attack from Mars or Cirqus Voltaire, see the vid (the White Water Logo is also with strange animation):

The bottom row ghost pixels is a fault in the firmware. Need adjust some of the timings. Will sort it out soon smile.gif

Try a Different Power supply or straight of your PSU from PC...

I havent measured mine, but I think you might be giving it too much power, and or not enough.

I'm all hooked up and testing good!!! dblthumb.gif I too see the ghosting, even though I have my Vishay LED DMD powered by my PC PSU 5V power connector. (using a Hard Drive power connector from the PC PSU.) I also connected an inline 1.5 Amp fast blow fuse to the red power wire like it was suggested by maxxsinner.

I would like to get my hands on that new vpinmame.dll file for cabinet users too.

I forgot the data cable for my phone at work so I'll post the videos tomorrow.

Best Regards,
Todd.
