Tipoto, you rendered this whole table in 3D Studio Max right? Couldn't you export all the models as .obj files and export the textures and make the table completely out of primitives? That would be so cool.

And then desktop players could play it as well  ;)

There are a lot of cheating in this table and I don't think any physics could work with the model as it is in reality, but I can export some models separately, so they can be used in other tables.

I'm currently pretty busy doing other stuffs, but I can do that when I have a moment.

I can also share the 3dsmax file, that way if somebody wants to pick something in particular, it's all there, my only problem is for the textures, the paths are completely broken and I have to reassign a lot of things, I don't know how broken is this part, I have to take a look at it.

I advise you to play the table with VP9.2.1. There are 2 graphic issues with VP DX9:

- Some graphics are shifted and you get black lines all over the table (I can fix that normally... Hopefully...)

- The overall render is blurred (there is nothing I can do for that)

I guess the 2nd point should be fixed in the next version of VP, I'm waiting for that before updating the table.

VP10 beta is out and this is one of my favorite tables, just saying

If you could provide me with the 3DSmax file and the texture maps,  I'll sort out at least the main models so they can be used for future renditions of the table.  The Chrome Skull, the Hunter Killer and ramps would be the priority.  Send me a PM if you find the time to read this.

I would say the canon too, since it's a little framey, would be nice if it was a silky smooth primitive.

Funny coincidence, I played it quickly on the weekend. What an amazing table.

Oops... I missed a few messages here, sorry abou that :P

I'm currently busy doing other stuffs, so I won't be able to update the table immediately, however I'll try to take a look at it soon, but I'm afraid that with all the new features (changes) on VP, it's going to be tough to make it work as good as it is in vp921, also I need to go through a little training to remember how everything works and to learn all the new features...

But at least, I prepared an archive with all the 3d models (full table + ship and skull alone) along with a bunch of textures and even more (.3ds and .obj export...).

I didn't put everything, because it was about 700 Mo of textures and it was the chaos, but there a lot of good stuffs to use I think.

The full table is not usable as it is, because I cheated a lot in 3D to get what I wanted from the camera point of view, but you can pick tons of objects that you can use in another table project.

Thanks tipoto for this initial resources download.  I would love to see if you could get that whole 700 MB file uploaded somewhere as I'm curious to see made available as many of the 3d models you created as possible.  Not sure how much you know about VP10 yet, but we really could use and benefit from all the work you did with your initial modelling as we are getting to be able to use these models now natively in VP.  Thanks for getting the ball rolling with what you made available in the link above.

I'm also wondering whether you could export a nice PF only and a Plastics only render in high quality (both with no GI lighting and possibly a version of each with full GI lighting - 4 total images) so that that also could be used as a starting point for a new VP10 / fully 3d / non-statically rendered T2 Chrome edition - we could finally give the desktop users a version of this ;)  When I get some time and real life issues settle down I would be interested in maybe helping with a VP10 version of this beautiful table using your 3D resources in between a few other commitments to some other VPF contributors.

EDIT:

I just checked out the archive and the cannon folder is empty - maybe that was unintentional?  That would be one of the most desirable items as it's a moving part and more ideal to be a 3d primitive for a future version.

Oh actually I forgot to delete this folder. I created it because I first thought I had the model separated, but it wasn't the case, however you can find it in the full table.

I will see what I can do for the full pack, but it's a mess, with sometimes the same textures in multiple versions (psd, png, tga, jpg, or bmp), also there are tones of pictures (for references)... I can't filter all this.

Yes of course, I can provide the PF and all the files I used for this part, here they are:

https://www.dropbox....-CE_PF.rar?dl=0

Also here is an FBX export of the full table:

https://www.dropbox...._table.FBX?dl=0

All the plastics are already in the first file I sent. I won't be able to provide  all the passes you need, because this table has been built in 2011, I still can open it with 98% of the textures linked (I'm missing just a few), but I completely forgot how everything is set up in the materials and all the render parameters, I would need to spend sometimes to refresh my mind and I don't have this time now.

For the project to recreate the table in a working 3D environment, honestly, I don't think you can do that using my model without a massive work on it, because it hasn't been designed to be used in 3D, it just works visually from the camera point of view. If you open the table, you will think that it looks normal and usable, but if you put physics on it, the ball will get stuck everywhere and maybe wont be able to go through the ramps completely etc... But I guess it worth to give it a try ;)

Thanks for the additional resources and hopefully one of the more experienced 3D modelling people will be able to make some good use of what you have provided / created.  Thanks again for sharing and your original T2 top shelf creation.

Thank you!

No, like it's been said, unfortunately there is no desktop version for this table, I'm afraid you will have to turn the head to play it (^_^)... I'm kidding, however I did that a lot when I was creating the table, because during months, I didn't have a monitor that could rotate in portrait mode, and then, when I got a new monitor, I was too tired to turn it every day, so I kept it most of the time in the horizontal position and I had to tilt my head to test the table XD

Thanks for the response.  I admit I did play it for a little while with my head turned lol. It is just so awesome!  I tried other T2s on visual pinball but they just didn't come close to the detail of yours.  Unless I was just trying the wrong ones.

Hello all!

I have been enjoying visual pinball a lot.  as much as you fine people have too. with soo many tables being redone, or at least redone to work with vp 9.9. its a shame I have to have this one off my cabinet due to the reasons people have posted earlier. I know the author has a life and is busy, and this is all just for fun. But this table is soo good, and has been downloaded soo many times. I really hate to have it off my cabinet. I know it would make my month, and many others to have a patched or reworked version for vp 9.9.

with kindest regards.

Adam.
