Creature from the black lagoon? I don't think there's ever been a night mod of it? Melons done a great update but not sure if blanket mod has been given?

mmm, CFTBL..seems an inane choice to me, just saying like, it nonsense to attempt improve something that is already so right and it really does not suit a night mod the whole holographic is already night modded...really did you think this through at all?

Still suggesting Diner, a table that could use an update..It's a really bright table! ;)

Two weeks ago I popped by a buddy's place who has a cftbl, we played it in a "night mod" setting and it looked freaking cool.

For those reading Steve's message you would think night mod means you are forced to delete any other version of said tables, that's actually not the case, you were just bein Steveozinformed, which isn't always a good thing

With that being said I can see where Steve is coming from, the table is already fairly dark and has many pure black parts on the playfield.  Not to mention the table looks fantastic in its current state it would be hard to improve on it, especially when (as I've mentioned before) there's so many tables that need LW's attention more desperately.

Also if you start looking at various 'real life' mods of tables like modern led mods etc you can see how you could easily spend a life time making 5 different versions of every table, again when there are sooooo many tables in need of updates.  There's many great led mods for Jurassic Park for example with alternate lighting (blue and green lights added) that I would like to see LW include in a Led mod version of JPark when the time comes but I would understand if he wanted to focus his attention else where.  Ultimately it's up to him how he spends his time, the community can just try to sway his decision making.  :P

I also played a CFTBL in the dark last week and agree it has potential for a great night mod so not an inane choice at all.

Really any table that I work on and add stuff to could look a little better. And to me all tables can benefit from the new lighting not just night mods.. That being said I do a little more than just darken images and add lights. Just some tables you cant tell it as much as others. And as dark said its really just what I feel like doing tho I am always open to suggestions and dont mind working on some that people suggest. I would have never seen congo if people dident mention it and now its one of my favorite tables.
So keep the suggestions coming and I will do what I can... :)

If all that energy of you guys faking (meant in a positive way) could somehow be channeled to improve the engine development of VP for a real lighting engine, this whole thing would be so much less trouble. Coming from the enthusiast gaming corner it took me about half a year to realize how limited the whole VP engine currently is. It's missing a big deal of modern graphics technology which results in lack of performance and huge efforts to make it look nice. You guys really do an amazing job with this and I can't even think about the efforts you put into it to make such awesome tables out of this. Hope VP10 changes a lot and night mod or other adjustment happen with the press of a button. Then you could perfect the build of a table, while the engine does all the visuals for you.

Sure there are probably better suggestions than the one I provided and I already provided others to LW too. IMHO for this thread, it's all about two things:

- different ways to appreciate a great table
- more specifically, and for me, enjoying LW's take on any table he wants to do

Specifically I think there is big potential because of the many lights on the ramps, which could provide a different look compared to the other LW mods. If he so wishes to test the CFTBL waters, I think a few might be surprised.

Not to sure how that translated to "inane" but whatever, Steve's gotta be Steve. I've had to deal with his particular brand of winks and humor and whatever else for over 10 years.
