Now a question from me to the authors: In core.vbs there is vpmCreateEvents(aHitObjs), but it's missing all of the newer objects (targets, primitives, rubbers at least). Is it safe/useful to add these in there? (same for vpmToggleObj, but i guess that one would be safe anyway, right?)

I guess it is ok to add them.

Coincidence, but i added flasher to the vpmToggleObj yesterday. I don't really need to use it there, but just sometimes I like to use that function for the extra options when turning on/off.

As soon as I loaded 3377 I lost rom sounds... downgraded to 3265 and I got my sounds back... maybe an issue with bass.dll?

easy to test: just use the bass.dll from 3265, but everything else from 3377.. does this setup then work for you?

~~~~~~~~~~
no, it did not help.
Then please use the new dll (so everything from 3377) and re-renter the sound setup, and re-select all sound devices in there, and press OK. Does that help?
no, did not help either.
Can you please nail down a more exact revision where it exactly broke for you by downloading some from here: http://vpinball.com/...s/vp-10-5-beta/
Run the game and press F1. Check that the "Use Sound" is selected. I notice that sometimes this is not enabled for some tables (?!)
Works fine for me. Turn it on in video options and set the table options to default.  Setting it in the table options was causing crashes for me before also. Hope it helps.
There was still an issue with the new reflections code which has been fixed already (plus some additional heuristic tweaks), so wait til the next build please.
Earlier I mentioned that 10.5 seems to have more crashes loading Stern' than before. ref. http://www.vpforums....=39428&p=398706
I did some pbx recording with gtx' tool yesterday and was able to reproduce crashes. Is this of any interest ? In short I was not able at all to record Elvis. On 10.4 series it normally was enough to turn off use ext-dmd when recording. Elvis was impossible - had to go back to 10.3 series and manually press the incompatibility warning with dmd-ext off in order to record at all. I can investigate and report more details. So, ok - we're talking about other tools running "on-top" of VP. Maybe we should just ignore. Maybe it is just me and my setup ? Devs, please tell me if you want me to investigate and report with more details.
From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.
A crash.txt might help to get an idea where the crash happens. Is it VPX or VPM or another dll of another tool.
I guess this is the good ol' at91jit thing in PinMAME? This is more or less 'random' on which setups it happens, but if it happens at some point, then pretty consistently.. :/
rev3385 is up:
- add Flasher to vpmToggleObj
- add Rubber, Ramp, Primitive and HitTarget support to vpmToggleObj add Rubber, Primitive and HitTarget support to vpmCreateEvents
- retweak SSR & fix heuristics for FS mode
- fix one more crash with new SSR code, and prevent a potential/rare one with stereo 3D enabled
- fix by djrobx for script error if using nudgeplugin.vbs (seen in new star wars table)
Sounds good.
Thanks. I really am digging the global physics. Insanely easier and quicker to set up large numbers of tables.
Went up and down releases testing my sound issue and it somehow got cleared. I’m now running 3277 without any sound problems on modes 0,1 or 2.
