btw- I have 2 folders. I have a table folder for my desktop taBLES, AND THEN A SUB-FOLDER  called Cabs where i keep only FS tables. I followed your instructions to install to the TABLE folder. SHould I have perhaps installed to the Cab folder. If so, this should be spelled out for Cab users who organize their systems.

Cheers,

Maceman

whatever your cab uses should be your tables folder,no matter what its called

what I do is the same, desktop folder(not that it's used much) , Tables folder (for Cab tables) , and even a Layback converting folder (for testing and converting to layback)

all FS tables, UVP and B2S tables, are in that one folder ...... so when I get around to setting up dB2S, guess where it will go.

all cab related stuff points to and is in TABLES .

From memory, each folder had to have a set of vbs files.

So you are on the money about trying to keep it all organised.

You have it sorted now MM

For those using it, Fish Tales directb2s has been updated with a much nicer BG image and enhanced GI.

Does anyone with access to the current editor want to build a High Speed directB2S?  Like I said here, the UVP version used to bring my system to it's knees.

I just posted High Speed using your backglass image.  I think it turned out pretty good.  Let me know if you see any missing animations.

Awesome ! One thing though. If its not too much trouble could you edit the backglass image and remove the desktop lamp from the rear view mirror :D haha. Maybe just black it out. Once you see it, your eye is always drawn to it. Thanks !

This is awesome! Many thanks to all that have been involved with this. Just spent the evening updating every table I have that has a directB2S currently available. If anyone one is taking requests, I would very much like to be able to remove the UVP from Bride of Pinbot....lol

Something I noticed with the new directb2s backglasses is when they are set to exe mode and you exit a table back to hyperpin, there is a few seconds in which the rom will still play (dmd will still display) or stutter while on the hyperpin main screen. Is this timing something that can be refined in a later release or is it just something you have to deal with? It's not TOO bad I'm just looking for things that can be improved upon in future releases. This thing is near damn perfect so this is just me being picky :D. Excellent work everyone involved !

I mentioned this way back to Herweh and his answer then was that alot of .net instances and other things took time to shut down. Maybe its possible to change the order of it, so the rom gets turned of first. But that might break something else.

Yes, this is one part. The other part is that I do not get any info right now to close the backglass and shut down the server. VP is sending no info (at least one of the current VP developers didn't know anything) so I have to watch whether some windows are still valid or processes are still running. That's the deal with a bit older technologie like COM.

Question. I just tried the High Speed b2s file and I get the following error after editing the tables script and trying to launch it.

VBScript:

Object doesn't support this property or method.

Thoughts?

Look for this line and comment it out:

		.SetDisplayPosition 0,0

(Put an apostrophe at the beginning of that line which will make it turn green, then save the table.)

Todd.

Aaaaah, thanks Todd. A method call I missed. I will add it to the next server version. Are there more calls somebody knows already that I have missed?

Definitely the key to improving performance is enabling the "EXE" mode.  I had some micro stutter on Pin*Bot and it went away when I enabled "EXE" mode, so I did the same for High Speed and there is no micro stutter at all now.

Best Regards,

Todd.

I'm all for dB2S and there seems to be a ton of DMD and SS ones coming out to help with the ledwiz cabs.

I see an opportunity for the making of all the great EMs for cabs now that it's so quick and easy to make the working Back Glass for them.

Way to churn them out guys, keep up the good work.

Does anyone with access to the current editor want to build a High Speed directB2S?  Like I said here, the UVP version used to bring my system to it's knees.

http://www.vpforums....072#entry211817

I just posted High Speed using your backglass image.  I think it turned out pretty good.  Let me know if you see any missing animations.

Awesome ! One thing though. If its not too much trouble could you edit the backglass image and remove the desktop lamp from the rear view mirror :D haha. Maybe just black it out. Once you see it, your eye is always drawn to it. Thanks !

I've just updated the High Speed directB2S backglass.  This version has a less distracting rear view mirror and a couple of lighting changes.  Thanks for the suggestion!

LOL, the next B2S backglass update should include the ability to add a live stream from a webcam so that the mirror on the backglass of Hi-speed would display us playing the cab eheh
