rev3377 is up:
- fix SSR crashing if only enabled in table user options

I meant ROM controlled. One request: Adjustable flippers strength via script or ROM controlled to be able to fully support Capcom games. Especially the flippers in KingPin are important (get weaker and stronger while playing).
???
Flipper strength can already be controlled (as well as some other physics parameters) via script. Or doesn't it work in practice?

Toxie, Fuzzle,
There appears to be a bug that wont allow a table saved under rev-3376, to be played on 10.4 final release.
Is this something that can be addressed? Or will folks simply need to run rev-3376 or > to be able to play those tables? I would really like to develop using rev-3376 but I dont want to cause the guys who prefer to run 10.4, any headaches.
Thanks

Do you have some documentation/link about that Capcom feature? Never heard about it before..
It does not seem to work for me,
what is the "ScreenSpace Refl. Scale" range, from 0 to 1?
0..X, but usually a meaningful range would be 0.5..2.0
Unfortunately I still only get crashing when trying to run with ssr on. It does try much harder to load than previous version but still ends in a crash. running a gtx1060. I tried disabling table reflections and 4xaa to see if that would help but nope.
do you have the error message and crash dump please? all the other options should work in combination with this, btw.
As soon as I loaded 3377 I lost rom sounds... downgraded to 3265 and I got my sounds back... maybe an issue with bass.dll?
easy to test: just use the bass.dll from 3265, but everything else from 3377.. does this setup then work for you?

You can easily test this: Do not use the new 3 layers and save, then load in 10.4.. Does that work then?
Unfortunately we cannot go back in time to adapt 10.4.. ![]()

You never heard that Capcom only used one single type of coils and was able to set the strength by software? It was a nice feature to ease maintenance. This was way better than B/W used to do because you always needed one type of coils and not 5 or 6 different ones.
The PowerMeter in King Pin works that way. The lower the power is on the display the lower the strength the flippers is applied.

Toxie,
Understood on the table saved in latest 3376 but not compatible in 10.4 official release.
My take is folks would need to upgrade since that appears to be common already.
Thanks ![]()

I don't have any issues when I saved a table with 3376/3377 and opening it in 10.4 even when I assign some elements to the additional layers in the 10.5 beta. ![]()

More layers is here to stay and if it is clearly stated that the table requires 10.5 or higher. Lets leave it with that.
Totally agree ![]()

no, it did not help.
Then please use the new dll (so everything from 3377) and re-renter the sound setup, and re-select all sound devices in there, and press OK. Does that help?

Now a question from me to the authors: In core.vbs there is vpmCreateEvents(aHitObjs), but it's missing all of the newer objects (targets, primitives, rubbers at least). Is it safe/useful to add these in there? (same for vpmToggleObj, but i guess that one would be safe anyway, right?)
