No, I'm asking about original tables that don't use ROMS or VPinMAME. Is there anything down the line that will let us make our own scoring system for original tables? Like how future pinball has options for reels, segment displays and DMD's.

I would love to make an original table for this engine, but I can't do anything beyond recreate existing tables unless I have those. I'm asking if this is being worked on now or if it's going to be much later in the process.

I realize there's no build system yet, but I would like to know.

Hi Jerberer.

We are currently handling these for "old" displays: EMReel are coded and we are also implementing Segments displays, in a very similar way FP does. More generally, we also develop an API to handle scoring, tilt warnings, highscores handling, etc... This will save some time to table builders.

For original DMD's, it is a bit more complicated: we were talking about this with peepi, developping UltraDmd. In the meantime, you will still be able to make animations by yourself, load and display as texture on the dmd object...

@Nextopin: Thanks for trying to answer when we are not avilable ;)  :otvclap:

Yes it is, it's the vpinmame.dll that does the job

Can unit3d access external dll files.

If it can maybe ultradmd would be an option for original tables dmd support

It depends on your vpm version. If you have the last alpha, it is a new checkbox in options...

Yes it can because we bought the UnityPro thanks to all donators. Btw, this is how we access VPM. And yes, UltraDmd is an option...

with all the new happenings with new physics, dx9, I have not played with Unit3D for a while.  Any plans on a new alpha build?

Not yet: we would like to provide an improved c# API, particulary for Original tables dev AND VR options...

Also, I have a little bit less time for this project because I am looking for a job (and Diablo 3's Reaper of Sould came out I have to admit :) :juggle: ...)

No. Unless VPM is ported someday...

Question.

The ball seems super fast on some of the tables, is it a bug or is that how fast it's supposed to be? It seems so fast sometimes that I totally lose track of the ball, especially on BK2K, seems worse in cab mode, but I wouldn't think that would make a difference.

Yeah i noticed that too, guess they have to tweak the physics settings.

Hum. It is a little bit just. Even if we optimize, I don't think that it will be enough...

Hello,
I want to congratulate you for the great job done on this software that includes the best of two worlds between vp and fp.

I have a quick question:
I do not use the "cabinet mode" in my configuration. However I want to display on a first screen the playfield (standard mode FP camera, for example) and on the second screen : just the dmd. Is that possible with u3DP?

When I check "Additional Gui DMD," it appears only in "fake fullscreen all".
The playfield appears on each screen and I can't reposition it on a single screen.

In other modes, the external dmd window does not appear. we see the dmd embedded into the playfield but not as an external window.

Thank you again and congratulations for this work!

Hi. I am afraid that in the alpha you can't have "multiple" screen display using standard camera mode... If this is required more, we will develop it...

The external dmd not appearing is probably because you moved it too far while in fakefullscreen all mode. You also can edit "config/options.io.puo" to reset additionnal dmd position...

Thanks for your kind words and sorry for this problem...

Is it possible to get more than one ball in the debug shot mode?

Would be handy for testing locks.
