Same here, just the one monitor (TV) is plugged in but I haven't installed the latest VR update though if Slydog says it works then it should for you as well. And out of the box too...

Ok. This was a new installation into a new folder (all-in-one, etc). In saying that, I've had VP on this box a few years ago so I might have messed something up so will work on it this evening, issue might be at my end. Thanks for confirming, it is odd that plugging in a second monitor helped the one guy, maybe the screenres.txt file is being used and needs to be configured in some way? The all-in-one does install it

BTW for those unsure of the benefits of running a VP table in VR, a great example of what the added dimension can bring look no further than Big Bang Bar. That left ramp is inviting yet also pretty much evil. It's HUGE and seems to rise up from the playfield and just towers over everything. Having not played a real BBB, I was shocked when I saw that, didn't know it was such a sharp incline. Desktop mode gives you some of this height but it's not the same and it's definitely lost in a pincab FS view. It's actually pretty mind blowing, which is a term we tend to read a lot in this thread lol

There is definitely some getting used to the lack of clarity for stuff at the back of the cabinet, though I realize there may be ways to help this somewhat, hope there is. In saying that, in no way does it render my 4K pincab useless but it shows the future and def has motivated me to upgrade to an affordable higher resolution headset. Samsung Odyssey is $250 USD in the states but $500 in Canada. Damn! Anyway, all this to say there's a future in both the VR and the pincab. I have to admit I'm looking forward to testing this on the pincab so that it at least feels like playing at a pinball machine, I can only imagine it helps the immersion.

Just installed the latest VR update and still no issue's Like you said it must be the all-in-one installation for some reason.

I did not try last nights most recent version so will do so tonight, in case that helps in any way (since Caligula did change some of the rendering method)

@loafer

I used the all=in=one on my VRPC as well, but at the end when it asked if I wanted to activate B2S, I said no because I had only one monitor. The newest version of VPVR runs fine on my Rig.

I'm not running fullscreen in VP video options. if that makes any difference, I don't know..

Also I'm using a Vive headset and in steam settings I put the video setting to manual and moved the setting from 100% to 140% this helped with the blurriness some, but the closer you get to the playfield the clear the image and especially the text on the inserts becomes. I have the standard vive HMD, I suspect if I had the Vive Pro it has a higher resolution, things would clear up some more..

I have been asking on my posts if anyone else has similar blurriness, but have not got any responses. :coffee1:

I used to have that kind of blurriness, then I set the resolution override to 180%+ and activated SMAA in the VP video options, everything looks good now. Just the SDE is annoying, thats why I ordered a Samsung Odyssey+.

Yeah two things about the blurriness

1 there’s lots of options to try, thanks for the suggestions blindpeser

2 blurriness ans sharpness and what is acceptable is a very subjective thing , it’s totally cool if it’s ok for some might be good enough for me too once I finish messing with options :)

Some of the blurriness could maybe be worked out with software tweeks. I'm not sure how they do it but a lot of different VR apps have 1 or 2 options for boosting clarity of the image. I'm not sure how they do it or if its just some kind of better super sampling.. but for example FlyInside, vorpX, and Future Pinball all have an option like "clear image" rendering or "super sharp" or some other name for a setting that adds sharpness and clarity. I know that in those instances the option they implemented worked pretty good and made a decent difference. I'm not sure if its tweaking the actual way the 2 images are rendered, if its reprogramming the virtual "lenses" your seeing with, or if its just super sampling. Maybe Caligula will come up with an internal fix, similar to those examples. As VPVR sits now, even with manual super sampling, the screen quality I'm getting feels and looks an awful lot like those programs did before they added the clarity/sharpness feature.. so fingers crossed we can get a 10-25% increase in sharpness just from software..

I have the Odyssey+ and the back on the tables is pretty blurry. I haven't had time to mess with it much until I get my lenses. I did increase the SS in Steam to around 200% which really helps with the shimmering.

I'm wearing weirdly prescribed glasses for PC use which does contribute to the blurriness. I've just ordered prescription lenses from WIDMOvr but will probably take 2 weeks to get here from Europe.

I would love to try out an Odyssey just to see how much better the screen door is inside it. I just got my vive fully decked out with wireless adapter, new pads and dual audio strap, so I'll be Vive-ing till it breaks lol hopefully that's 1 or 2 gens down the road before it goes tits up. Just last week I had  a lighthouse burn out on me.. should of ordered a spare pair when they were going for cheap.

That's pretty cool. Definitely something I would want if I had a pincab.

I did not try last nights most recent version so will do so tonight, in case that helps in any way (since Caligula did change some of the rendering method)

I was the one that had the issue where tables like Addams family, STTNG, twilight zone etc did not show a DMD. I rebooted multiple times and tried different settings. I then hooked up a second monitor and moved the backglass and the DMD to it on one of the tables. That finally fixed it. Now I have that second monitor unplugged and it still works fine.

I also used the all in one installer.

For me it works w/o 2 2nd monitor at all. I think I said "no" when I was asked if I have second display during the installation process. I guess this is about pinmame settings, but I am not sure.

Decided to give the new VPX VR version a try and it does not work for me.  I get a mostly white room with messed up / graphics and mostly invisible table.  Running a Nvidia 1080Ti, 8700k and 32GB of RAM.  Nvidia Driver is 416.94 (11/13/2018)

I'm going to upgrade to the latest version 419.35 (3/5/2019) and see if that helps or not.

Here is what I see in VR with this new version.

Latest build isnt working correctly for me, the table is all grey or doesn't show up. Anyone else having this issue?

Can you send your GPU and driver version? I added some features to change the rendering method in the Video options to debug, where you can change the rendering method and texture format (e.g. BlitNamed and RGBA 8). Can you try if some of them are working for you? I also just uploaded the older version again (VPVR_old.zip) on sourceforge.

Nvidia GeForrce GTX 1080 and driver 419.35.

got it working, I had a play around with those setting you mentions and nothing was working until I restarted VPX and now its all working and I can't get it to break again, although disabling the mirror doesn't seem to do anything for me.

Also wanted to say your recentering the table implementation is fantastic
