DOCTOR WHO TABLE FIX (AND GENERATING A WORKING NVRAM FILE):
-----------------------------------------------------------
To avoid hearing "Warning: Keep hands away from mini playfield" all the
time during attract mode/during gameplay, to avoid always having the
coin door open, and to have the ability to open the coin door....

1. Delete \Visual Pinball\nvram\dw_l2.nv
Delete \Visual Pinball\cfg\dw_l2.cfg (This probably doesn't matter)

2. Change the Controller.Switch(24) lines to "= 0".
For Jamin's VP8 table v1.1.0, change lines 98.
For Unclewilly/oooPLAYER1ooo's VP9 tables v1.0, change lines 80
and 179.

Controller.Switch(22) = 1 'Coin Door Closed switch' closes the coin door (but you can still open it with [End]).
Controller.Switch(24) = 0 'Always Closed switch' makes the coin door "unopenable" as far as the game rom is concerned (you can't use the [End] key).
Controller.Switch(82) = 1 'Playfield Glass switch' acts like the glass is in the table so you don't hear the warning all the time.

3. Run Visual Pinball and start the table.
When it says "Factory Settings Restored" press [Esc] and quit back
to the VP editor--For some reason pressing [F3] to restart VPinMAME
does not do enough, you must exit back to the editor.
Start the table!

Love this table.

I modified the UVP to 3 screen but, I'm still an amateur and also not too sure what the etiquette is on modifying a backglass. I put it up on my server for now.

If it's good enough, I'll try to submit it . If it's in bad form to create a 3 screen of an existing UVP, I'll learn my lesson.

I did convert the UVP and adjusted the BG Image from 2 to 3-screen setup a long time ago .. simply forgot to upload it! wink.gif

Cheers,
FD.

this game is suppose to have lightning flippers on it (which are 1/8" shorter than standard) How do I modify the length of the bats?

Also, on the right side of the pops, there seems to be a bunch of drag causing the ball to move very slowly down the back right side. What is causing the hangup? Should be a nice wide path back there and ball shouldn't be hindered.

Load the VP editor and load your table (doctor who OzPinUW_FS v1.0).
You'll see tools on the left side for items you can add when building or modify and settings on the right side.
Click the flipper you want to shorten. On the right side you will see all the settings associated with the flipper. For now, just change the length from 116 to 100, then click the next flipper and change its length from 116 to 100.
Save the table (upper left) and play it!

For the Upper right bumper area dragging the ball, there is a very small space for the ball to fit through. You can draw a circle around the upper right bumper and move it to the left a few mm, and hit play, then if you like how its positioned save it, otherwise try again. Sometimes the graphics overlay the exact spot over an area and you can't move the objects unless you modify the graphics. You'll see what I mean when you look at it.

it has to do with the ball collision script

it will be fixed soon as this table is getting a rebuild like lethal weapon 3

Did the rebuild on this ever get finished?

I see this topic hasn't been active for about a year. Was there anything posted or figured out on how to fix the missing ball after multiball?

thanks.

Just wondering if anyone is working on an update to this wonderful under-rated table
