  • Favorite Pinball: I like both new and old, but I guess I prefer modern tables with some rules and goals to achieve.

If you look closely to the table, you'll see that it is not the table you played smile.gif
This table, as I made, did not existed in reality. It is a mix of the playfield graphics of Revenge from Mars, with a few layout changes to suit the ROM of Attack from Mars. So it is not strange that it played different than the table you played smile.gif

I know that. I had thought you might have been trying to recreate some of the physics of the RFM table too. Actually I was kind of hoping you were so I could practice RFM to some limited extent.

Is there a way to change the rom this table uses? Like copy and rename the AFM rom to ARFM and have the table use it? It maybe petty, but I dont want this table and AFM using the same rom.

Can't do as the ROM name must be in the vPinMAME, but you can use the home ROM for it so you don't have to mix the scores up between the tables.

Check script in line 47

'************
' Table init.
'************

'Const cGameName = "afm_113b" 'arcade rom - with credits
Const cGameName = "afm_113" 'home rom - free play

I love this table! Just switched from the vpinball8 version (JP_1.1?), like the more realistic play on this version.

But balls keep disappearing during play! Most recently I shot one of the upper right slots and things went real quiet... The machine kept resetting all the solenoids, but the ball never reappeared. This happens about every third game. Has anyone else seen this?

Using Vpinball 9.12, Attack Revenge from Mars_P91x_v2.3.vpt

Thanks again - I can't believe how realistic this is - never thought an all-software pinball sim could be this good!

Did you know that "playing pinball" is called "flipperen" in Dutch? Now you know and may your life be enriched by this arcane knowledge....

How do I map the fire button for the ball in Visual Pinball?
