Crap! The pressure's on now! smile.gif

Seriously, glad I could help get this finished it's a fun little game.
With any luck it'll be done in a few days.

Regards,
Dan.

Sorry Dan, didn't mean to put pressure on you. I just wanted to knock the dust off this thread, and unpack the moth balls from the table. smile.gif

Wow! that game looks real fun to play! it actually takes skill to make spares! I like that magnet for the base plate, I had wondered how he was gonna hold the ball but he doesn't really he pushes it instead of actually holding it. How are you gonna' replicate that in VP? I thought ya' couldn't do magnets in vp. am I wrong? (again biggrin.gif ) and thank you Dan for offering to help him on this. I can't wait for it, um, is it for vp9?

Magnets are already simulated in VP. In the case of this game however, its just a hidden kicker, that when triggered, just raises the ball to floor level, holds it in place, and kicks when the plunger key is pressed.

Yes this is a VP9 game.

The only limitations in VP, are the security limitations that Microsoft built in due to hacker exploits with vbscript. Even those can be worked around by calling WSH script from vbscript in most cases. Otherwise a custom COM object can be written. So basically, the only limitation to what can be done through VP, is the limitation of the creative mind.

ok...how's this for a busy day:

- Got up at 6am after going to bed at 1:45 (Rawd's fault - giving me intriguing questions I'd never thought about with vp scripting)
- took wife to work for 7:30 start
- had breakfast & made up some bread dough with youngest son, Leo (20 months) = flour everywhere
- uploaded some tutorial tables to help people "new" to scripting vp
- took the car to the garage for an MOT (legally required annual safety check) & a service
- walked 2.5 miles home with Leo in pushchair...pointing out diggers & eating wild blackberries & such stuff as we went.
- baked bread
- read stories to Leo (whilst chatting to rascal), did jigsaws & played with toy animals & bricks & whatever else you do whilst supervising a toddler (changing nappies/emptying potties etc)
- had lunch & fed Leo
- put Leo down for a nap
- swept hall & kitchen - vacuumed rest of the downstairs
- did all the washing up of dishes from the last 30 hours of my family of 5 (includes 2 teenagers)
- folded & put away about a weeks worth of laundry
- put nappies on to wash
- walked 2.5 miles to get the car
- bathed Leo
- put Leo to bed

and yet somehow in amongst all of that I appear to have actually got the script for this table finished!!! I have no idea how - it was far from done this morning (it's now 9:30pm btw).
It may need some real beta testing, but as far as I can tell it's now ready dblthumb.gif

Rascal - check your pm.

Regards,
Dan.

Wizards_Hat's the Man... er Mom? Just kidding, you are the MAN! Thank you very much for volunteering to finish the much dreaded scoring script. Thanks for also pointing out a couple of bugs in the game play that I have to fix.

So what is left to do, is:

1. Match.
2. Game Over light.
3. There is a tilt, and I have to refer to the manual and see how it workks.
4. Ball through wall issue.
5.BETA testing.

If I don't get to it before, I will finish it up this weekend for BETA testing and release.

Thanks again Dan for everything, I'll be sure to credit you for all that you have done
