Try PinballX Database manager as a replacement of PinballX's game list manager

Thank's all for the links. I just checked and could also see that the new version with Serum is now uploaded.
For me at least, still no luck with getting colored DMD to work. Well, the old Freezy way does work. It's still the PAC files that are not read.
Since I have installed all the files that are required and since Freezy is running fine, what is left? I know nothing about how dll's work or registries, but could there be somewhere in my installation that is set up wrong, so the program don't know to look in the altcolor folder for the PAC-files? Is there a file somewhere, which is not one of the ones I try over and over to install (the Lucky files), which have something to do with knowing the right paths and folders?

If you move the freezing files out of the VPinMame Folder does the DMD still work?

No. You want the file in the in the first post here - https://vpuniverse.c...c-file-support/.
Scroll down to the bottom of that post, and the 2nd file listed for 24.44mbs's is the one that you want.

If I remove all the files that would be put into VPinMAME by freezy, then I get an error box when trying to run a table stating "No external DMD driver found or DMD driver functions not found". The table is set up to use external dll. I guess this is good, but what is the next correct and logical step?

Download lucky1 his dmd plugin (see some post before this post) and copy all those files in the visualpinball\pinmame directory.
If you already have a dmddevice.ini, do not overwrite !

Ok, so did just that. DMD is working again, but we are back to the orange regular DMD (with a splash of purple, because I have marked it to use color in the F1 table settings, and it is only using the four colors, if that makes sense).
So I guess it shows it is not going to the altcolor folder, yes?

Post DmdDevice.log
I am unsure why it is from yesterday, but it should not matter since Lucky was installed then as well. This is the content of the DmdDevice.log:

Back to my Iron Maiden problem....Here's where I am at. I was able to adjust some code to make the DMD look much better (I found lines of code that had the FLEXDMD at 32 x 128 and changed it to 128 x 512 and it looks much better. Problem is only part of the time it looks correct and fills up the screen. When it's showing the scores while you are playing, the scores are really small and tucked away in the upper left hand side of the screen. On other screens like "Ball Saved" it fills up the whole screen. I have pics that I uploaded, but I don't know how to attach them to this post. Edit: Figured out how to attach pics.

Outhere, can I ask you if you understand content the DmdDevice.log I posted a few days ago? I can see that it multiple times mention 4 colors, which I guess is what I am getting instead of the color palet from Lucky. Can you decipher my next step? ![]()

Get Freezy work again
Then
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> For NEW Pac Files + PAL / VNI, Pal/fsq and cRZ Files <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
The instructions below assume the freezy files are in the VPinMame folder otherwise you're going to need to do some research
If you already have color DMD with Freezy setup
Then you should only need to copy the (3 Files) DmdDevice.dll, pin2color.dll, DmdDevice64.dll & serum.dll in to the VPinMame Floder
Also compare your DmdDevice.ini File to the new one, You may have to add and/or remove certain statements
OR Put your personal stuff into a new DmdDevice.ini File and adjust it to match your setup
Either have the pac or pal/vin in the altcolor folder
If you have a real Pin2DMD you may also have this file dmdscreen.dll Remove it
The .vni / .pal files & pal/fsq Must be Named pin2dmd.xxx AND Pac File anyname.Pac & cRZ File RomName.cRZ
The Download is in the First Post

Is it possible to abandon this whole DMD and go with a simpler DMD that just will show the scores?

Sadly this is not the solution. This is what I have been doing over and over again, and the Lucky altcolor PAC-files are just ignored. So I guess nothing from the DmdDevice.log revealed some kind of problem?
What could make VPX ignore the Lucky update and not reading the PAC-file?

Thanks Outhere
Without understanding why things are as they are, I notice that yours start VpinMAME through VPinballX.exe and mine start it through Setup.exe. Does that mean anything?
Then your's go to loading Pin2color plugin, which mine never does.
Does anyone know what control these differences, and how to remedy it? Simply just installing the Lucky files won't change anything.

How was your freezy set up originally through the install app or you put the Files straight in VPinMame folder

I've been back and forth so many times that I honestly can't remember.
But just downloaded the latest install app, ran it and got it to remove freezy. After doing this, tables made the error that I got previously, that it couldn't run external dll. I figure that is good.
Then I installed it again with the install app. I am unsure which location to install to, but have tried both VpinMAME and the programs folder.
Sadly the problem is the same. No colored roms.
I tried both directly after running the install, and after adding the Lucky files.
It absolutely makes sense that I have to run the install app, to set up the right parameters. If I didn't do that on the first go, is it possible I have made something wrong that I can't go back on?
