If you look at his VP8 tables in pic, you will notice he has scripts in with his tables. This can definately cause a conflict. Scripts should only be in the Scripts folder.
This is why I suggested he just start over and use the All-In-One Installer.

Hi,
If you look at his VP8 tables in pic, you will notice he has scripts in with his tables. This can definately cause a conflict. Scripts should only be in the Scripts folder.
This is why I suggested he just start over and use the All-In-One Installer.
I started over again, I downloaded the all in one installer again. The roms, scripts and tables that I had previously, I moved them all to new folders. I've included screenshots.
Thank you,
Chris

I would start over again with the All-In-One Installer.
Looks like your path to roms is VP/MAME3/roms?
Let the Installer name your folders.
It will create a folder on C:drive named "Visual Pinball"
Inside that folder you will find a VPinMAME folder.
Inside that folder you will find a "roms" folder.
This is where you place the roms. (zipped not extracted)
This is how my roms folder looks..
Get rid of all that crap in your roms folder, that is not a zip file.
Or move your roms from where you have them now, into roms folder, inside of your VPinMAME folder.
Same for Scripts and Tables.
Move them to the folders that were created by the Installer.

those are definitely some funky looking folder contents
I think i would back up all the vpx, vpt and directbt2 files
and in the vpinmame folder i would back up all the .zip files
then i could take the whole rest of it and rename the folder to something else, c:\pinball_old or something
Then i would open regedit
and i would go to hkey current_user / software
i would delete the freeware key and delete the visual pinball key and the b2s key so you can start clean
then run the all in one installer, let it install to c:\visual pinball and re-register everything clean
once the install has finished, before you run anything else
Grab freezy's latest DMD extensions release https://github.com/f...v1.10.2-x86.zip
unzip into the vpinmame folder
Grab FlexDMD most recent https://github.com/v...8.0/FlexDMD.zip
Unzip into vpinmame folder, run FlexDMDUI.exe, click the 2 register buttons
Ok now you should have a clean VPX installation that can run any normal stuff
Open the tables folder, run B2S_Setup and input appropriate screen values
Now go put the addams family values VPX file you backed up, into the tables folder
put the matching directB2S file also in the tables folder
take the ROM zip file (which stays zipped for ever) and put it in the vpinmame\ROMs folder
Now go have VPX try to run that table and see what it does
If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways
Spend it on Hookers and Blow

He is trying to get a VP8 table running.
Like I said, use the folders that the All-In-One Installer makes for you.
It installs all the scripts to the scripts folder, so no need to move these.
Place your Tables in the "Tables" folder that was created from AIO Installer.
Place your roms in the "roms" folder that was created from AIO Installer. (Rom folder is located in the VPinMAME folder)
Once you get a table to work properly, then you can delve into getting Freezys DMD working.
FlexDMD is automatically installed when using the All-In-One Installer.
Get a table to work first!!

A VP8 table? There are newer versions but.
He has all kids of odd files in places, not exactly sure where it all came from
i have a few VP8 tables that simply dont exist otherwise, and dont have any of the various files im seeing in his tables and roms folders
I didnt know we put flexDMD in the installer
That should in theory mean that we already have freezy's at least ver 1.9 which would be good enough

I re installed the all in one installer. Screenshots. In the screenshot for tables, there's files in it that came installed. Should I just leave them there? I will add a few tables and a few roms, and I will see if they work.

Getting closer.
Looks like you downloaded old version of All-In-One Installer.
This is why that page says...
Note: Pick VPX7setup.zip if you're not sure which one to download, as this is the latest one.
https://www.vpforums...&showfile=11573
Choose VPX7setup.zip (As seen in pic)
You should be able to run the All-In-One Installer and install it right over your existing install without problems.
