We can and should be glad that the rights holders let us do what we do. This is by no means a given and should be respected and honored. A single call to a lawyer would immediately put an end to our wonderful hobby.

Noah, you said at the top of this thread that "This will change as time goes on. The rule is 3 years out of production. To simplify, it would be easier for everyone to go by the release date on IPDB ..."

 

But it appears that ipdb.org doesn't even update anymore. Only (three versions of) X-Men in 2024 and nothing since. Any idea why?

No idea why, and it's been discussed quite a bit. Not sure if they've lost interest or what.

It would certainly be helpful to track table release dates.
