There is no image that goes behind the desktop version of the table. I think I did this before that was very common. If you want just update an image and place that in the background. As it is now, desktop starts the backglass but for you it is likely on another screen or behind the table.

For some reason, the backglass doesn't show up on my single screen desktop. I made sure both the table and b2s were named the same and I re-registered the b2s server, but no luck. Any ideas? (Btw, I'm still new to this) Everything else works fine though.

If you have a single screen and you are running VPX in full screen size, even if not in exclusive mode

the backglass is going to go behind the table most likely, as soon as the table comes into focus

 

If you are playing on a single screen you may want to consider doing this

I'd love to have the backglass next to the table, unfortunately, I can't figure out how to do that. And yes, I'm running full screen mode. I tried the windowed full screen as well, but no luck there either.

put the screenres.txt in your tables folder
double click the reg file and allow it to import
since your screen is 1080p these settings should work for you

Sorry, I just saw this post. I decided to make a pup pack and use a video back glass.

All a sudden my DMD is gone for this table, proper entries in registry for ultradmd location and size. Not sure if this happened during vpx7 update?

Running 3 screens, UltraDMD appears installed, I can open ultra by itself, but its not opening with the table (not on task bar), thus game plays good, but no scores.

Are we using ultradmd or flexdmd?

Update to the above, if your read the above link, you will find UltraDMD is dead and FlexDMD has taken over, so follow the directions in the link and switch over to FlexDMD and all just works...

 

Only thing to add, if you want to make some persiscion adjustments to the location and size of the FlexDMD, make changes in the C:\Visual Pinball\VPinMAME\DmdDevice.ini file, you can also drag it around and adjust size by grabbing the lower right corner and then right click and pick save globally.

 

I'm now having a focus problem (3 screen setup) on startup of this table, I need to alt-tab to the playfield to get start and credit buttons to work, anyone got some help on it?

When I run it from VPX7 alone table runs good; but with run via PinballX, I lose foucs from the playfield, thus can not use the start, coin and flipper buttons until I alt-tab to the playfield window.

 

Anyone else seeing this?

 

UPDATE:  Mike_da_Spike at gameex (pbx) fixed me up, with PBX, try checking the exclusive box under vpx video preferences and all fixed for me...  Focus stays to playfeild no issues with alt-tabbing to pf.

This is a reupload, warts and all, of the Stern Kiss table I originally released back in 2016. Included is the music directory along with the ultradmd file.
 
I have included my directb2s but there is an updated one from another available if you wish.
 
The script is a best efforts at duplicating the Stern ruleset. Note that there is no rom or rom emulation for these "newer" Stern tables.
 
It is my understanding that I CAN now post this to vpforums. If that is not the case, let me know and I will remove this.
 
Big thanks to JPSalas for providing the bones to this table with his table release.

I'm not going to release it as My mod, as i havent really made anything new.

 

But here is your table, with no external vbs dependencies, and no external music dependencies
could embed the DMD also, but i think it might require changing the API from ultraDMD to flexDMD ?
i am not sure if you can get ultraDMD API to look inside? flexDMD API will if you just direct it to "VPX.filename.gif" etc

 

I also brought the total filesize down to 67mb from 107 (Includes table, backglass and DMD assets)
i converted all backglass sounds to Ogg and the larger graphics files to WebP

Music is internal to the table now, so technically you can pause it, start from where it left off, drop the volume for event callouts etc.

 

A few minor script changes, mostly just declaring a few Dims
and changing how music is played and from where.

I can't complete any song. the Demon spits the ball right into the middle of the flippers every time.

some shoots are almost impossible.

Someone with the same problem? can i lower the difficulty?

Hopefully  I am not asking a dumb question but I recently got my new system running using VPX 10.8.0 rev.1934 (9bb99ca) 64bit  with no problems on several tables and it runs really good. This table is popping up KissCore.vbs needs updated version. Is it  64 bit causing this? Anyone else experiencing this ? I did go into VPX options and made sure scripting options were set to always create controls, other than that my searches have come up blank.

 

 

 

 

UPDATE: found vbs files in a old save and it works, cant remember if I added them initially on 32 bit or not, regardless it works now.
