this feature is really really hard: police shot me and flippers went dead - OK for me. But stayed dead for the next (3rd) ball as well - too hard of a punishment for my taste ;-)

 

 

I was "shot by the police" on ball 1 during multiball.  Flippers went dead all multiballs drained and then ball 2 and ball 3 the flippers stayed dead.  I'm sure they are meant to reset at the end of a ball right?

I experienced the dead fflippers as makmak did, it's ok, but they are dead for all players - and that's perhaps a little too much :-)

 

They are dead just for 3 seconds It should not disturb the other players.

 

 

 

I'll take a look at it, the timer should reset the flippers after 3 seconds, so there is a chance to do not loose the ball.

It´s me once more - at first merry christmas to JP and all together

 

Table is really stunning and i´m still hunting "teenagers". Not easy to play because table is really fast (in cab mode). So i decided to test / play with table slope of 4.5 instead 6.0 and it´s more playable now (for me); maybe i´m getting old?

- fixed dead flippers after police hurry up (and after Tommy Jarvis hurry up).

- fixed a possibility of the ball not getting out of the scoop

- added Const FlippersBlood at the start of the script to disable the flippers blood splat

 

I hope I have fixed those two bugs, the flippers going dead for more than 3 seconds and the ball not always getting out of the scoop. During the hurry ups, now the ball will come out of the scoop quite fast at the important thing is to get the hurry ups

Someone asked to disable the blood splatter on the flippers, so I added a constant at the top of the script so you can disable that. It was an idea my son had Since the flippers were covered by blood, so why not add a small splatter when using them?

 

Anyway, if you find more bugs just write them here and I'll fix them

Great table but I have no sounds/music, only the mechanical sounds works. When I started the table for the first time I get many ogg errors. Start the table for the second time no errors anymore but also no sounds exept the mechanical ones. Do I need download the ogg files somewhere ? No problem with all my other tables. I use the last version of VPX 7 (24dec). Do I mis something ?

I guess you have not copied all the new dll and vbs from the VPX 10.7, you need to overwrite everything, otherwise VPX 10.7 won't work. All the dll and vbs are fully backwards comparible, so VPX 10.6 and older will still function.

Borg, what's nice about using the OGG audio files, is it creates smaller audio files than wave (about 10% of the size), and in turn gives a lot of latitude increase the soundtrack on your tables with more or longer audio clips, without adding a lot of file size to the table itself. I've already done a personal sound mod upgrade to the F13 table with more girls screaming and and camp counselors being called out by name as each one bites the dust. Some additional phrases from "Mommy" as well.

 

I think the ogg format also uses an open source/free compression routine so you never bump into any proprietary or licensing issues which may be in play for mp3. So I do appreciate when I see table developers gravitate towards OGG audio files.

A question about game rules for the teenagers if someone is good at that. Is there some kind of indicator that a teenager is in play, like do they move around or does a light turn on or special sound get triggered? I've already dusted a few teens but not sure how I did it.

 

Teenager rule form JP's guide:

 

"Teenagers
During the game you will spot a teenager as they walk around a lake lamp. Kill the teenager for extra points and bonus. Teenagers can also be killed during multi-balls and hunting missions.  Each teen killed will score 250.000 and it will increase by 50.000 on each successive kill"

First you will hear your mother's voice inside your head  

Second you will see one of the lake lamps is lit. These lamps are not on the playfield, but they are the real lamps on top of a teenager. Only one lamp will be lit at a time. And they are spotted at random.
