Thanks bigus, you did an awesome job on this table, plays very much like the real machine and I can recreate all the key shots. I played this a lot in my local bar in Amsterdam back in 1993, brings back a lot of memories.

I updated to VPX 10.8 and this table will not work.  Any suggestions.  I get a beep and then it crashes.

Disable colour dmd and see if that fixes it. If so, you need to upgrade your freezy dmd

This is also one of those tables that needs a pre-initialized nvram to accept coins.

If the table is not accepting coins for you,

Download this nvram package...

https://www.vpforums...s&showfile=1362

Extract the contents of file to your nvram folder located in your VPinMAME folder

Thanks for sharing Bigus,

And huge thanks to Tom Tower, and Ninnuzu for building the original table.

Carry on.

I've installed all of the nvram files and even just the single smb nvram file and still i can't add credits to smb. I went into the menu and enabled free play as the menu would not let me add "balls per game" either, sits at 0 when pressing either shift key. First free ball drains and it asks for my initials??? Second ball and all subsequent balls to follow drain and it asks for my initials for each ball??? This continues till the tenth ball drains then the balls that appear after that are labeled Ball A, B, C etc etc. This table is whacked.

First delete your nvram file for this table. (So you start with new nvram)

Now you need to intialize the rom. (Since the pre-initialized nvrams aren't working for you.)

This is how you initialize the rom, so the table accepts coins.

Start the table.

With table running, press these 6 keys in order.

Press End (This opens the coin door)

Press 7 (This toggles the service menu)

Press Left Flipper (This toggles the game adjustments)

Press Player Start (This toggles factory settings)

Press Player Start (This selects english language)

Press F3 (This resets emulation)

Now you can add coins, and credits will go up.

It may work on other Gottlieb tables, but I have not tested it.
