Thanks for the update, it's a fantastic table.  I think the post count in this thread doesn't do justice to the quality of this release!

Oh. I fully agree with you there Loafer. It might very well be because of the double thread too. One of the things I love about this is the integration of original sounds from the real machine, also of course that it is a very well built re-creation. From day one when I had my hands on it, shots felt good and the flow is excellent. This recreation has really opened up my eyes for this machine. I wish I some day will be able to find one out in the wild.

Whooaa!! Thank you guys! I honestly did not expect this kind of good reviews :)  .. I expected rather the opposite regarding physics, because i use setting at the opposite of what it use today ( extra high friction, extra mass and power ).. But it's the only way i find to have good bats reactivity, accuracy, and fidelity etc... as close as possible from real. I think it could be possible to do that with Rothfozzy, but it's to hard for me.

Also, i discover with my setup, some behaviour with the ball wich are very realisctic that standard setup don't do...For exemple, the ball jumb over flipper bats after hit slingshot post and go directly in drain hole :D .. It do it frequently in real. It the same with the pyramide.. but in vpx we can open glass to recover the ball if she jump over the pyramid loool.. So i put a roof. Also, In real, ball can jump directly on ramp when you hit 2 targets banks, but i don't find the good setup for now. I need to test with more friction on rubber behind the target. There is also, after "contact" on rubber, no overspin that stop or brake the ball due to these little "contact jumping".

I test it on fish tales, i friend have it, and not rarely, we jump the ball on ramp when we hit one of the captive ball post, and I succeeded to reproduce that few time, but it need some stuff to work great.

Sincerely, if you come in France, you're welcome at home!   :winetoast:

Greeting,

JLou

Thanks, the more realistic it is, the best thing it is

For the ball hitting the glass, I remember someone adding a sound simulating the contact of the ball with the glass (it's on one of the last table releases, but I don't remember which one it is)

So, I'm sure you can do the same with the roof you added above the pyramid

And I like your flippers settings, it's very easy to control the ball

There may be ways to have the physics improved but right now I can say it is very fun to play as is and the shots are all doable and feel correct.  If I note any differences in the flipper strength as you've stated yourself, this pin has very strong flippers (needed for those incredible steep ramps!).  I'm not super familiar with the real one, it's been a few years since I last played a Stargate but the bottom line is your recreation is pretty stellar.  A revisit of physics, etc is always a plus if you can find ways to improve, but this is a decent start! ;).

Firepower does this "ball hitting glass" thing

@batch , yes SG has easy control for ball... it's a good thing... it's already playing with difficulty and lot of multiball, so imagine if you need to play it with less control like Williams pinball... A Carnage! ahaha! it could be too hard for lot of player.

Thank you so much for the great table.

it's already one of my favourites!!!

i prefer to play with the "normal" lighting (turning off LED) as i feel it looks closer to the real machine.

fantastic job and thank you so much!!!

Thanks for the English update and again for such a fantastic table!

There is an option for glass?  if so awesome!  I have never seen glass on VP tables yet only on Steam Zaccaria tables.

HI guys! I find the way to keep Gottlieb Sys 3 in Free Play, and tournament mode for those pinball wich this setup work with manual switch behind the door.

Now, Stargate start on Free Play mode, and tournament mode ( or not depends what you setup in the tournament menu )

Hi,

Did something change in version 1.2 that affects DOF solenoids? None of my solenoids work or DOF at all for that matter with this new update?

I checked and the DOF plugin is running ... and works with all other tables.

Please advise.
