Hi R and D,

Thank you for uploading an update that includes credits to dark and others. You seem to have missed freneticamnesia. Please, add him, as he's the primary author on the original release. I'll approve it only after fren's added at this point. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and approved it thinking you were going to update the credits last time. I'm gonna have to be adamant this time.

Also, please update the version number. You mention in the comments it's 1.3, but they're all v1.1 in the downloads.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. It is important to give credit where credit is due. Our hobby is the collective work of hundreds of people over 20 years, and they all deserve credit for their contributions.

... which no one reads. It is imo wrong to mention bigus1 without mentioning both Fren and 32a. Bigus1 did very very little compared to the other authors.

R and D Repair, you've submitted an update, but I see no changes to the author list. Please include freneticamnesia and dark in the author credits, so I can approve it.

Thank you.

I'll do it later. Just approve it for now.

Boy this kid must be in line for the throne ?  Spoiled and rotten
I was at an event at the time about three hours away from my computer. Your the rotten one.

You should really use the line
Use Solenoids=2

instead of 1 for fast flips.

Thanks

I also quoted them yesterday in the table description

I keep checking this table to see if what was asked has been done. It sits at Darks comment which states well. The table remains the same and people continue to download regardless. This table is definitely in need of some work and I thank you for putting in the time to improve it. You say you own the real table so you know how it should look and play. I dont know how much time you have put into this table but i do know its minimal compared to the time fren spent building it or the time 32a spent converting and improving it himself. Ive been part of this hobby for about a year now and I cant build tables or even improve them. What i have learned is that it takes countless hours to build a table. Single components of a table can take hours. So I have a great appreciation for those that put their time in and then share it with us. The authors and contributors keep pumping out these masterpieces with no financial gain as they watch others commercially profit off their work. Why do you think they do it? They do it for the same reason i would if i could. They know that others will enjoy their work and appreciate it. The gratitude is minimal because its so hard to hit a like or a thanks button but its enough to keep them going. Take some time to understand this. Maybe ask bigus1 about the shitstorm he went through releasing his mods. GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE. You dont care. After all this time you still dont credit the original authors. I guess its just as hard to add their names as it is to hit a like or thanks button.

I've updated a few things.

Didn't he ask for you to make that change before he approves it? You were on, you have a list of the two names provided to you, you could have done it in the time it took to respond to ask that he just approve it anyway. We've already had issues with table authors not properly crediting on their mods and attempting to dance around the requirement when asked to do so. I don't blame him if he decides it gets to sit in the moderator queue until you've made that update as he requested.

Also, I'm adding you to the list of "must be offering something unique or significant enough improvement to justify adding to my pincab" that some of the others who have attempted to dance around the credit requirement have wound up on. I've got several hundred tables already at my disposal; I think I can afford to add another set to the ignore list.

Hey, I was in a whole different state when I said that. Did you know I got a life other than VPX. I fixed pretty much everything so if that is not enough to get in your cabinet I don't know what is.

We appreciate everyone's contributions. All we ask is that you credit appropriately. Is that really so hard? I'm losing patience with this now. Please fix this immediately, or I'm just going to remove it, along with your access to the download section.

Thank you.

I have my own WWF Royal Rumble and I can confirm that it is more like the original with it being one. You can change it if you want to.

Then there is something seriously wrong with your WWF Royal Rumble. The idea being solenoid = 2 is to REMOVE lag so that it plays more real. Having it on 1 introduces lag so either there's something wrong with your royal rumble or your reaction time is slow (maybe a health issue, I'm not judging and you are right, we can change this).

I hope you can take a moment and revisit your current position. You seem to think we are intentionally trying to make life difficult.  Please comply the forums' requirements, it won't happen the other way around. We take author's rights and respect for their work very serious. The same would be true for your own contributions should someone decide to work further on this table.

It's not about ego (as some often think) and not about legal rights.  It's about respect towards the dozens/hundreds of hours these authors put into their creations and really, if people are going to look at acknowledging previous authors as a hassle, then consider it's a small price to pay for these gems given freely to our communities.  I hope to see you continue working in our hobby, we can always use more authors.

Noah, you're being much more gracious than I'd be at this stage. I would have already done the removal and restriction of uploading content by now.

R and D, you've pretty much cemented yourself into my "not on my cabinet" list now. Hint: one other member here is also on that list, for the exact same reason you're now on it. If you were at an event, or on the road to an event when you asked for the "approve and I'll update later", we would have been much more gracious on the whole, although I would have done, "on the road, I'll update when I get back on x date and can be at a real computer, then you can approve it". Hint for you: Anyone interested in being a proper part of the community would not have asked for it to be approved anyway.

I'll fix that. I'm new to vpx. I have a real WWF Royal Rumble and I do find that I don't have a pretty great reaction time. I think it is because I have a bad computer in the first place.

Be aware. Keyboard users will not always see the benefit of using Solenoids set to 2. There are so many keyboard out there that are really crap when it comes to response time, that a value of 1 or 2 will look just the same to them. Most cab users will, because they have invested in keyboard controllers with very low latency.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Sure. We like updates, so, thank you. I know it takes time improving. I do it a lot myself, but, I've also tried to make a table from the bottom up and I can tell you it is really much more work. What I did was a very simple game. Would take a experienced author maybe a couple of days. You can't compare the time you use vs others. It all depends on how many smart shortcuts you know about. What we all should strive for is at least thank the original authors as long as there is a mod. Honestly, all table threads should have thank you notices going to the vp and pinmame devs, the rom dumpers etc. I think it is ok not to do that for every table though, the main authors are very good at doing that for us.

It is no bother to me but strictly on your issue I’m wondering if there is another issue that is at work here?  I don’t understand why the option for solenoid = 1 or 2 would affect lane randomization?  Anyway I’m good with this and thanks for fixing the credit stuff, all good.

Ok, well it doesn't hurt my feelings if that is what your trying to do. I'm SORRY. I JUST JOINED. Can you give me break?

You'll have to toe a very fine line for a bit to get the break on my end. Given the earlier attitude, it'll take some effort. Granted, less than the other person will need to get off the list, he went on for a bit about needing someone else to do a database he could just refer to get it sorted out.

That said, I can certainly extend that break once it's earned.

Want to come back to thank you for the changes. It plays faster and to me, generally feels better.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.
