Another thing I forgot to mention. As you may have noticed the flippers are also enabled during the "game over". This is because of the fastflips code which I guess isn't working 100% with this table. Well, the fastflips work, as the flippers respond always under 2ms.

So, even if the flippers are always enabled the benefit of using the fastflips is much higher than to disable the flippers during game over.

But if you prefer to have the flippers disabled, you can always comment out the line 144, the one with InitVpmFFlipsSAM

I guess it is a matter of time before the fastflips will work 100% on this ROM too :)

Hi JP, I have given this a more thorough play test and it really plays well.  At first I thought "Black Widow ramp is too easy" but that just seemed to be a one off game, I'm shooting it at the same pace as on the real LE.   The iron man orbit is maybe a little easier but there are probably a few dozen pinside users who would prefer your version to the real thing lol.  As it is, superbly well done.  The art style is very well used.  I do miss the bridge being raised but I get why you did it this way.  The Hulk bash toy you are using is EXCELLENT, I hope someone uses it for the other regular versions!

There are a few issues, though I've not tried 1.01 yet but it's not mentioned as fixed so you may not be aware (or able to do anything about)

- tessaract:  There is usually a cool sound effect that is tuned to the spin. I don't hear it in your version, in fact I don't hear anything, but yours is the LE version so it's possible this is an emulation issue with the AUX board.  Something perhaps you can look into but for an example of the sound, check this out:

- possibly not for you but for others who help with the DOF feedback, with the excellent PM5 version, I think the tesseract was mapped to the mech motor.  very cool effect

- Avangers?  Simple typo on the playfield, I laughed :)

Thanks for your input, The Loafer.

I was not aware of the sound in the tesseract, I'll see what I can do. I can also check the PM5 version for the DOF command.

"Avangers" :) I'll fix that typo :)

What Loafer said about the Iron man orbit, made me nod. I agree in that it is a really tough shot on the original, but, maybe a bit on the "too easy" side on yours. If you find a easy way to make it just a tiny bit harder I would appreciate it.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

I'll take a look at the Iron Man orbit.

About the tesseract sound: the LE rom produces the same sound as in the pro version, and it can be heard in my table too.

UPDATE

1.0.2 Updated 29.12.2019
- fixed typo on the playfield
- added a collision sound to the rotating cube
- made the iron man lane a little more difficult to hit (not much though)

I didn't found any special DOF commands for the tesseract in the pm5 version.

To make the Iron Man lane a little more difficult to hit I simply moved the post on top of the targets a little more to the left and I made the blue rubber at the right side of the ramp a little thicker. This way the lane should be a little harder to hit, but not so much.

I find the Black Widow ramp quite hard to hit :)

Well, this is a small update.

Agree with Thalamus, very appreciated. I've never really analysed the DOF settings but I suspect the issue isn't your script, it's how the DOF is set up in the database, ie: differences between the LE version and the PRO (which the PM5 version is). If that's the case, it's probably an easy solution to update the LE entry on the DOF site.

The Tessaract sound: yeah I hear it now so nothing you can do about it but for whatever reason, it seems much louder on the real pin compared to all the VP versions (I just loaded them all, it's there but much more subtle). The video I had linked to before shows the audio on the spin is more evident. I am sorry for having you looking into this for nothing JP. :(

very cool JP, thanks a lot. I really like that the targets are more visible than on the other existing version. Playgame is very nice. Many many thanks and happy new year in advance!

For this table you need the Avengers LE rom - not the regular one. You just go to the Stern website. Download the rom. Look in pinmame what name it expects to find inside the zip and then zip the file down with that name and put it in the roms folder.

I totally missed that release, there is no Avengers LE entry in the configtool, like all the Stern PRO and LE tables, there needs 2 different entries in the confgtool, there is always a slight difference between the PRO and the LE in terms of solenoid or switches.

I will check it next ;)

Thanks Arngrim.  When the release came out, I added it to my own config (so that the toys work :) ), then went to the DOF Config website to added it, couldn't figure it out at 3:00am, was going to check the next day and... forgot about it :(  Sorry about that

UPDATE 1.0.3

I made a small update today to fix one trigger that was on the wrong ramp so it didn't work as planned (it was one of the switches from Black Widow).

Thanks goldchicco :)

Hi all, is it possible to apply a color patch to the avs_170h rom?

Loving the table but really missing that nice color DMD.

Thanks!

It might, and it might not. The way patches work is that it replaces bytes a specific places in the bin file. IF both roms look the same at this areas, it is in theory possible, but, it also kind of depends on the patch program used too. it might be that it won't allow you since it sees already that you are trying to apply it to the wrong rom. Give it a try, if you are able to apply the patch without errors, the next step is to see if it runs. Since this "brute force" replacement is how patches work, well, there will also be possible that mid game it crashes or something unexpected. In short, maybe.

Thanks!

Mine is coloured, if Green counts?

You could try running the table on an older already patched ROM
I have had 0 luck trying to apply any old colour patches to current stern ROMs
probably too much change in the ROM, hacking locations no longer valid.

Oh i have forced some to apply, but then the ROM does not work.

I am only having trouble with this table that the flippers stick every once in a while and hitting flipper key unsticks them. What could cause this. I am on the latest pinmame 3.2 as well. Sticky keys are turned off on my computer as well.
