Responding to old post, but my matrix is responding to dof and the have as it does light up, but the graphics are indistinguishable. Saw Major Frenchy video saying up flash to Alpha I did and not luck. My question. On alpha firmware do you see the orange light on the teensy blink? I don't and I'm wondering if it didn't flash correctly.

**solved. BottomUpAlternateLeftRight was the correct orientation!

How do you change the height of each table?

How are the text showing ?
I have a 48x8 display and for example the word "shift" in "the getaway" looks a bit distorted. When changing the height of the letters per table it is correct, but a lot of effort to change all tables.
Wondering if with the alpha version it is showing better

How do you do this?

Thanks

On the dof config site, you can get select per table and modify custom setting (don't publish them).

What I did : I created a new shapes image file and xml and added a font with 8 pixels(instead of 7).

For some tables, I changed the fonts height and width on the config website.

This will show letters much better (without any shades).

For the start of doflinx, I change the word to 'pinball'

If you want some pictures, just check my building rig:

Been following this thread for a while. Had LED's working satisfactory but my words on matrix also seemed garbly (hence why I have beeen folowing this thread)  Meant to adress it eventually.

Just put everything back together after doing some work in the room. Made sure all electric lines were tight and NOW  the worrds (AC/DC, Shift, Arcade are REVERSED.. Mirror image. Also have 6 inches of LED's that wont go off at top right(end of strip) of the table. Flashed both HEX's ( 1 works for me) but the words are reversed??!!

Everything else seems fine.Loaded Tom & Jerry and it looks o.k. (Diamond, square, circle.)

Any suggestions?

P.S.I've  always wondered if I had the matrix upside down but that wouldnt reverse it.

 Thanx.

Hmmm. Still Backwards.

It was BottomUpAlternateLeftRight... Saw your suggestion earlier in this post about TopDown AlternateLeft Right and gave that a try before. Re-did it per your suggestion unfortunatly she's still backwards. At least the words a clear  :otvclap: Thank you for the link . Iv'e studied that thing so Darnn much from Frenchy's stuff.I thought I had it.

LED basic test starts at bottom right corner, moves up then left and down, repeat.

 Will keep trying and digging.

Great hobby.

I really feel for you reading this thread. It can be very frustrating at times, did you manage to fix it?

When it  does not work for me I go back to the basic test and set for total length for the section I wish to check  and then up to my current limit  right now that's about 1020 and just watching them tells me how their wired. the direction and if the strips are fully functioning.

A final thought where is the power and data input connections on your matrix at the top or at the bottom?

Take care

Dazlin
