DOFLinx not starting up in Pinball FX

Outhere, thank you for staying with me. I think i got it now. I have lights working. I had adjust the file where the FX3 tables were located. I do have a question for you: How could I have the shaker which is in DOF config as device 4 work with doflinx when it oly allows for 1-3? On doflinx.INI i changed it from 402 to 302 but I do not think it is working> Also, I have RGB lights set up on the sides of the table and undercab. It is broken down into four parts. Ledwiz #1 in ports 11-13(RGB), 14-16, 17-19, and 20-22. Can I set it up DOF Linx so all four work. Now I only works with one (RED).

When you test things with the test device menu did you get the shaker to work?

 

and for lights this is an example

With RGB lights like you have all you have to do is put in the port number for the red the programming will do the rest

yes for frontend pinballx,

the processing incoming message thing is coming from frontend I added to the launch before and after on pinballX under the FX3 system. I will disable that. I was using it to launch DOFLinx

 

The shaker does not work under the 302. Will I not be able to use the shaker since it is set up as a device #4 on ledwiz/DOFconfig? When I put it in as 402 , INI did not liked it since it can only be in the range of 1-3.

 

The lights and strobes I do not need to move since they are working under FLOL=111, =114,= 117, =120.

I have also 2 beacons but DOFlinx only allows for one? just like the undercab RGB?

 

If you look at my RGB=111 its because when I added others, it did not work.

 

 

I wanted both beacons to work not only one, the shaker to work and all the undercab light strips, not just one(RGB=111)

I hope all this makes sense, and again thank you so much for all your help. Any suggestions? You have been a tremendous help.

And do this and The under cab lighting will Flash when you're playing the games

Try this for the beacons-- Change the one in red for whatever the other port is

Go back to the device tester try every device and every port on each device to see if it will trigger the shaker at all

Outhere, The shaker looks to be working under 301:)

I ( #) the RGB undercab but nothing changed, as a matter of fact the same undercab strip continued to light up even under (#). ?? strange

The beacon only has one wire going into the ledwiz. I have one  on port 23 for blue and port 24 for red. I can only get one to work. I put in 123 on INI and the blue one worked and then I changed the number and put in 124 and the red one worked. Is there any way to get both of them working? We are getting there:)

Did you close out the DOFlinks and restarted after you make changes in the DOFlinks.ini file

Neither one of the options worked. It must be that DOFLinx only allows for one beacon option and one undercab RGB strip setup. I guess we need to find out together. Thank you outhere, you have been of great help.

Multiple output device / ports certainly should work by simply adding another set of parameters as per post #27.  Definitely no brackets required as per post #29.  Its not overly common, so happy to run up your DOFLinx.INI on my test machine and figure it out.  I do run two RGB devices, ie RGB_OUTPUT=211,214

 

Post your INI the way your think it should be along with a dot point or two of what isn't working and I'll try and test it out tonight for you.

So, I've looked at this and @Outhere is right with the LINK_BK= line above, no spaces, no brackets ....... but, did anyone count on the bug I left in there!  I presume not!

 

With the bug, the loading of multiple devices for any LINK_ device, the second onward does not work ... oops, already fixed and will be in the next version (which may be a little way off as there is some reasonable size surgery going on and fun new stuff).  Until then, an easy work around, just have two LINK_BK= lines in your DOFLinx.INI , it achieves the same, so;

 

LINK_BK=123,FLASH,200,128

LINK_BK=124,FLASH,200,128

 

Happy flashing!

 

PS - The second, third, etc devices for RGB_OUTPUT= is not affected by the same problem, nor are flashers or buttons.

I did see some bugs on the screen but I thought they were real ones... Could be the medication I picked up on the street the other day...

It could be that you were Just messing with us

Did you close out the DOFlinks and restarted after you make changes in the DOFlinks.ini file

Try this for the beacons--

 

LINK_BK=123,FLASH,200,128,124,FLASH,200,128   Or maybe this if that Don't work -->  LINK_BK=123,FLASH,200,128[,124,FLASH,200,128]

 

 

After you make changes and of something still don't work repost your DOFlinks.ini file

 

So, I've looked at this and @Outhere is right with the LINK_BK= line above, no spaces, no brackets ....... but, did anyone count on the bug I left in there!  I presume not!

 

With the bug, the loading of multiple devices for any LINK_ device, the second onward does not work ... oops, already fixed and will be in the next version (which may be a little way off as there is some reasonable size surgery going on and fun new stuff).  Until then, an easy work around, just have two LINK_BK= lines in your DOFLinx.INI , it achieves the same, so;

 

LINK_BK=123,FLASH,200,128

LINK_BK=124,FLASH,200,128

PS - The second, third, etc devices for RGB_OUTPUT= is not affected by the same problem, nor are flashers or buttons.

Hi guys, going back to the post above on following date.- 27 August 2019 - 01:18 PM

I decided to give Future Pinball+ BAM a try. Unfortunately, I can't get DOFLinx to work with the FP tables. I took away the # from my original doflinx.ini. from 

FP_ATTEMPT_LINK=1 and added the wait time below.

 

FP_LINK_WAIT_TIME=90000

 

I also added to Direct output shortcut to the FP/tables/plugin folder.

 

VP and FX3 continue to work as always. Any ideas?

  1. Check you have a DOFLinx enabled FP table.
  2. Remove the shortcut in the FP plugins folder
  3. If not working, gab a log as per this post and explain your steps and results.
