Now (and with the new physics) is absolutely perfect!

Thank you again!

UPDATE

1.0.2 Updated 29.05.2021
- Fixed top droptargets not registering
- Updated to my physics 3.0 .1 for VPX 10.7
- Added the LUT changing with Left and right CTRL.

As I said before, the targets should have been working, but I added a workaround so they are working now.
Due to the new physics this table requires now VPX 10.7

Thank you jpsalas for your work and great tables, especially those of inder.

Could you correct the problem of the top 3 250cc targets for vp9?

Thanks and best regards.

I took a look at the table, and it is over 10 years old :) I think if someone is still playing that table then he/she can change the script.

The fix is simply tell the table, again, that the targets has been hit. Somehow the ROM doesn't react to the first hit.

So find the lines (at line 322):

 Sub sw47_Hit : dtBankT.Hit 1:  End Sub
 Sub sw46_Hit : dtBankT.Hit 2: End Sub
 Sub sw45_Hit : dtBankT.Hit 3: End Sub

And replace them with:

 Sub sw47_Hit : dtBankT.Hit 1: vpmTimer.PulseSw 67 : End Sub
 Sub sw46_Hit : dtBankT.Hit 2: vpmTimer.PulseSw 66 : End Sub
 Sub sw45_Hit : dtBankT.Hit 3: vpmTimer.PulseSw 65 : End Sub

UPDATE

4.0.0 Updated 1.9.2022
- Updated to my VPX7 physics
- cleaned up and deleted unused graphics & reduced the size of the table
- Added my VPX7 LUT changer to darker the table (hold down LEFT CTRL while change with RIGHT CTRL). Including GI brightness adjustment. Use the LUT changer together with the day/night slider to give the table the level of darkness you prefer.
- Updated my mechanical set of sounds to a more "under the glass" sound, as people seem to like those kind of sounds better.
- Changed the Environment image to enhance a little the object shadows.
- Made the light inserts warmer.

Many people asked me what's the difference between my older physics 3 and this new version 4. And the difference are mostly in the flippers strength and the ball mass, which goes back to a more normal values, but keeping the nice shot angles and strength. The rest are the same as in v3, like the rubbers, metals, etc. Still the flippers are not like nFozzy flippers, those are excellent if your computer is fast enough. But if one day the VPX flippers gets updated internally then you will not need to do anything with my tables to take advantage of the improved physics :)

Dear JP,

thank you VERY MUCH for this VPX- version. Now I can retire the VP9- game. One flaw seems not been solved, the extra ball counter digit does not work. Can you please have a look on that? I tried it with two different D2S files. I have in mind to have seen a solution for that on another INDER game, there it was built with snippits or lights? But one point must be mentioned here: the VPX- version plays and sounds perfectly!

Sincerely, Christian.

I'll take a look at it. I don't usually check the directb2s unless someone tells me that something is not working :)

Edit: I'm afraid I do not know enough of db2s to see what can be wrong. I know I have some code to get the desktop reel to work, but vpinmame should update the db2s, I mean I should not need to do anything in the script to update that counter.

Dear JP,

thank you for your reply. In parallel I checked games of the same age and found that in Corsario and in Atleta the bola extra display is emulated with snippits. At Atleta I found the best solution: 4 snippits for 0,1,2, and 3 extra balls. Maybe this hints help your a little.

Sincerely, Christian.

Thanks! I'll take a look :)

Edit: I see how Corsario did it, but I can't get the B2s to work. So for now the only thing I'll do is to add the lights on the apron. As I understand those are not real lights but just some info that you can get up to 3 extra balls. But this way at least you will have an idea of how many extra balls you have right on the apron :) I'll update the table when VPX8 is released.

Dear JP,

again thank you for your reply. When you do the move to X8, please do not change the physics - the games is already balanced perfectly!

Sincerely, Christian.

I have only enhanced the flippers with the latest script, the targets which absorb a little more the ball strength and the ball spin. The rest is all like before, so the changes are not very big ;)
