So what would be the the best configuration for bringing flipper latency down?

Nvidia settings: Vertical Sync: Fast?

What do I have to provide in VPX`s video options:

VPS/Limiter/VSync?

Maximum pre-rendered Frames?

More configuration items that could reduce flipper latency?

More FPS on screen = less latency. The best choice is turning off V-Sync, but you can get screen tearing. So you can set the fast v-sync in nvidia CP (it uses a multiple of you screen refresh rate).

Maximum pre-rendered frames: 1

I would like to see a test done with a real pin cab controller instead of keyboard:

and

Also, could you show us the settings screens for the video card and VPX that you're using for each setup?

Thanks!

I see no mention on the USB polling rate on these controllers, so I think they work with a standard 125Hz encoder.
I've used a corsair gaming keyboard set with 1000Hz polling rate so you can have worse results with these controllers.
These are the vpx settings:

The important thing is how many FPS you can have on screen. The more FPS, the less lag you'll get. Put standard vsync on with 60Hz is the worst choice you can do.

Thanks Outhere and Kernel for your answers:

So is this the best configuration to keep flipper latency down (with my 60Hz TV and my 1050Ti Card)?

Activate "Fast V-Sync" in Nvidia's control center.

And in VPX's "Video/Graphics" option configure the following:

FPS-Limiter/VSync: 0

Maximum pre-rendered Frames: 1

Here's the original pre-fastflips "big thread" discussion on flipper lag.  Lots of comments in here and discussion about how monitor refresh rate affects VP just like it affects competitive gaming, etc...

Pretty much everything already discussed in this thread (even though it's old).
