It was Haunted House, but I didn't know someone was making it. Oh well, there are a lot of other tables to make :)

@batch : I think both HF and Wildman made great db2s for Shark. I expect you know where to look ?

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

JP is there anyway that you would convert your wonderful Scarface table?

Scarface... :) That's a really nice table, I remember spending a lot of time designing the speech so the mouth got synchronized with the words :) Better than a conversion, you should need a complete rebuild of the table. The script was a mess, that should also need a complete rewrite, and maybe using UltraDMD. I'll see what I'll do next year, since this table would take a lot of time to build.

Thank you so much for even considering rebuilding it. I would love to see it in action with clips from the movie using PinUpPlayer!

UPDATE:

1.1.0 Updated 12.03.2019
- NVram fix by Pmax65
- Surround sound support
- New environment image and materials
- Simplified fading routine

- New flippers

The script fix for the nvram by Pmax65 works by replacing the nvram if it detects the game cannot start, and if it couldn't fix it, then you need to press the coin button (key 1) and add a 2 coins (pressing twice the 5 key). That will clear the nvram.

There were two Taito tables (Shark and Mr Black) with the problem that the table could not start if you ended the game with some locked balls. This script will fix that. So no more deleting the nvram file :) Mr Black has also been updated.

The new environment image will make the table a little sharper and will make the metal to look more metallic with more reflections.

Thanks for the update, JP

This table is one of those I absolutely wanted to play the VPX version, like Kingpin (Capcom)

Hey JP, just to let you know the separate plastics file seems to be the original image included with the table, not the English version

JP, thanks for all your tables through the years, incredible amount of beauties.  Have you ever taken another look at scarface?  Just wondering as its a great table and would love to have a vpx version of this original.  Just wondering, no pressure.

Yes, I have taken a look at Scarface, and I talked to hassanchop, who was the designer of the table (together with rascal), and he thinks the VP9 table still plays great. So for now I won't convert it to VPX. First I want to make some other tables :) and after them I'll see if I make a system for a better DMD for desktop use, and use another one for cabinet use, I guess UltraDMD is good enough :) But I should like to use the same commands for both so the tables will be easier to code for me. But this will take some time. There are many kind of players now: desktop, desktop using full screen (in which UltraDMD won't work), FS with one screen (UltraDMD can be used, but it can't be rotated), and FS with one screen and full screen, and then you have the cabinets with 2 or 3 screens. When I made Serious Sam using only ULtraDMD I thought everbody will be happy, and you can't imagine how many emails I received about desktop users not being able to run UltraDMD. Some because they can't get UltraDMD to work, and others because they use the full screen option, so UltraDMD is not visible or it can't be rotated. And they all ask for a VPX DMD. Before I make more originals I want to find a way so as many people as possible can play the tables without too many changes, maybe just a few options in the script to choose your DMD. with a VPX DMD for desktop and FS using a single screen, and maybe ULtraDMD for cabinets. I know I could use other DMD systems for cabinet use, but since I don't like much animations or videos, then UltraDMD is perfect for me to program :)

How do I get this table to start? before I insert coins the flippers and plunger work. When I insert coins they add credits, but when I press start it stays in attract mode. I tried deleting the NVRAM but that did nothing.

Noob question, is it possible to change the "appron" to display the score for replay, keeping the original pic? As is done in several EM. If change is possible, is the font type also "customizable"? To use the same font that was used in old real Taito, making the table even more realistic. Thanks.
