Hello guys I have a similar problem with b2s however my problem is that B2s is not loading at all on any table. B2s is already successfully registered, it is in the same folder as tables with exact same name, none of the b2s files are blocked by windows. It is not a screen position problem because alt tab doesn't show any b2s windows at all and when I open a backglass manually it opens fine and with right click I can see that screens are in the correct position. Already tried registering again but nothing loads with table in vpx. Been looking everywhere online but nothing seems to work.
None of the b2s files are blocked I checked every single one related to b2s
Yes b2s is unchecked in the vpx preferences
Also looked for duplicate b2s server because apparently can mess up b2s but I only have the one inside the table folder

And you are also using the latest files

I got the same problem with the B2S not loading for Count-Down (Gottlieb 1978) .. tables from different authors, nothing (that I´m aware of) to change in the

script (centainly nothing mentioned ealier in this thread), I´m on the latest version of sw ..

Any idea for this specific table?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

FD.

Yes latest version I just checked for updates with baller installer everything is up to date. It is really weird because not a single backglass loads. I have some tables with puppacks and they work really good hope all tables get those at some point... anyways if there is anyone out there with a fix please helpppp me.

I would check ...

Positioning of your multiple monitor/screens in Windows/Settings/Display

Using proper screen-numbers, resolutions, and coordinates in ScreenRes.txt

For now:

- Exclusive Full-Screen Mode option OFF in VPX

- Start tables directly from VPX (no Front-Ends for now).

I was JUST looking for this solution today.  I found it in an old tread. It was as simple as going into vpx at the top finding the configuration or buttons, and selecting disable backglass. Couldnt believe how easy it was.

Thanks Tesla but positions are good in windows as well as b2s. Only problem is b2s doesn't load with vpx. I don't use frontends I have been trying to get vpx to work properly before moving to front end.
I'm at a total loss I deleted everything did a fresh install, updated everything and same problem. All tables load and run but not a single backglass loads. B2s is not blocked and is registered in windows is located in same folder as tables and b2s files have exact same name.
Exclusive full screen mode is also off. Although tab when running table confirms that b2s doesn't load since no b2s windows are present
Tables with puppacks such as GOTG, HARRY POTTER, GHOSTBUSTERS, IT, DARKEST DUNGEON, THE MATRIX AND DOCTOR STRANGE load with the pupack not problem but none of the tables with simple backglass

Try this I had the same problem with this table.

Rename the B2S completely delete the name and .b2s extension.

Perhaps the same for the tablename.vpx.

Maybe you have to redownload both files.

That's all good.

My guess is ... main problem is Baller-Installer that you are using ... not using proper versions or something getting configured improperly.  You are looking for quick-auto and likely missing some config steps we all do with a normal install.

I run B2S-Server from C:\B2S-Server\ on my cabinet and also on my development computer.

In C:\VPX80\Tables\ is where I store B2STableSettings.xml and ScreenRes.txt (along with the tables and matching b2s files)

In ScreenRes.txt have you tried all the numbers 0,1,2 for this line ?

# Backglass Display DeviceName screen-number. This cabinet now wants 1 here.

Yes tried different numbers for displays and nothing, my guess is b2s doesn't load at all when running vpx maybe it is something with the version installed. However I already tried reinstalling everything from the wiki of baller installer latest version.

You can sort it out a bit. If you double click on a backglassfile, it should open. If so, your server seems to be registered properly. Check with a "modern" table. Does it open, but with your specific table not - it seems to be a problem with the table itself.
You can sort out errors within a specific backglassfile, if you take another working one and rename it to the specific - in this case wrong table. It that backglass is opening, its the backglass file.

Thanks Dutchpinball .. I tried this before and unfortunately it did not change a thing ..

Also redownloading the table files as well as the b2s files (different Authors) did not solve the problem ..

Thanks anyway .. Nederlander  ;)

2. If so, your server seems to be registered properly.

1. Interestingly, on my 2 working computers, this only brings-up a requester asking what app I would like to use.

As you speak of it, sounds like a common Windows file-extension association has been added.

Still, I suppose it could be handy for testing in his case.

2. I get the feeling the required B2S-Server "DLL Registration" ... so it will activate and work ... is a separate thing.

I can manually open b2s file by double clicking it i did that to ensure screens were correct, but it does not load with table. This is for all the tables, over 100 of them. Only the tables with pupacks work correctly. All the single backglass tables with b2s file named same as table don't work.

I've never had this problem, on many installs over the years, or my two current ones now.

It sure sounds like a problem with the final "DLL Registration" that must be preformed in order for it to work with VPX (when called upon).

I provided my B2S-Server version number above (of my working version). Did you ever find the version of yours?

Do you know how to use NirSoft's RegDLLview-x64 ?

If you don't get any error, normally is because you have to change the follow in the Script of the table :

Set Controller = Create Object("VPinMame.Controller")

Replace it with this:

Set Controller = Create Object("B2S.Server")

Another PinUp Popper user over here and according to the thread ... they could not figure it out either.

https://vpuniverse.c...ass-with-table/

But I'm reminded of a tip I just posted in another thread here ... start the table from VPX-Editor (no Front End) to see if B2S-Server is working (installed and DLL-Registered properly).
