Thanks a lot Knorr! I tried a lot of settings, but this one does the trick, happy man now :)  :otvclap:

So would you recommend this product over zeds?

I have no experience with zeds so I can't tell!

laylow, is the dead zone setting at 4 sufficient for your setup? Do you use DOF? How about a video showing the nudge responsiveness during gameplay? Probably not the easiest thing to demo but I hear you're pretty good at making videos ;-)

Deadzone at 4 is ok, I don't use DOF and I''ll try to make a nudge video this weekend  :)

Hey guys, thanks so much, this is awesome.

I see the video by Knorr has been removed.

laylow, where did you get stuck? Any chance of a quick rundown of what you did to get it working and where you put it in your cab?

I am super keen on this product for my cab.

bedankt vreind.

@ laylow

So you just plug in the joywarrior http://shop.codemerc...warrior24f14-wp

and do a bit of calibrating and that's it ?

No other special settings, besides the ones inside Visual Pinball?

Looks easy enough, at least I hope it is

curious, why would you need this product?  Isn't the KL25Z board the thing everyone seems to use or base their nudge device on? Its relatively cheap too.

How easy is it to use ?

Just plug it in the usb port and that's it,

or is it complicated ?

is there a tutorial of some kind ?

The  KL25Z board is used by some of the commerical projects (Zebs, VirtuaPin's one I believe and also another one I've seen advertised in Australia.)   There is a open source project called Pinscape that is discussed elsewhere where.    Take a look here to the project home page  :  https://developer.mb...r/wiki/Homepage

You do not need to make the whole project or expansion boards. Revision v1 is just on the board it self.

Here is the basic version:

1) buy the KL25Z board - Approx $15-$25

2) download the firmware from the projetc site: https://developer.mb...r/wiki/Homepage

3) install the software

4) connect the board to the PC/Visual Studio and set it up as the accelerometer  for nudging

you can also use the board for button inputs as the board also acts as a gaming encoder.

5) Wire up buttons to the KL25Z board for button inputs.

If I was making a mini cab without all the DOF etc, I would still take this route.

Here are a couple demo videos:

I found it easy to set up the board by itself following the build guide I linked to.  The second part, the expansion boards, is another project in itself.  :)

Yes plug in, use the software to calibrate and setup your vp settings. Done.

Cool. For me this seems to be the easiest road to take.

LOL..... no worries at all.  You're correct in the assumption that they all use accelerometers for the nudge sensing.

And I want to add - I'm happy being a owner of your solution. Right now it works quite well even if I haven't mounted it permanently to the cab. I live up north and need to wait for the snow to leave before the next steps in my build. For what I've seen on all those other videos VPX seems to react on the first nudge and then almost immediately does a counter reaction when the accelerometer goes into a resting position. ( ofc, depends on the settings - but, it seems like a common symptom )

I believe that is something we could ask the devs to have a extra look at for 10.3. I'm sure the main code could be improved even further in this area.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Do you need a special version of VP or does it work with e.g.VisualPinball 990

Actually, most people say that they like it more how it works on VP9. So, the answer is a big yes.

I forgot to ask, is that the joywarrior or the klz25 board that works perfectly for Vp9 ?

I recommend a joywarrior 24f16. Expensive but it works flawless

If you want to solder on your own it's not that expensive...

http://shop.codemerc...rior24f14-modul

I use this one

http://shop.codemerc...warrior24f14-wp

Plugged in, calibrate and since a year never touched again....

I have decided to purchase this for my cab also, mainly for the ease of use experienced by Knorr and laylow.

The distributor here is Australia has gone out of business so it is costing me an arm and a leg, but a plug and play solution sounds good to me, being so time poor at present.

Thanks everyone for your advice.

Ups - didn't see your question before revisiting this thread. Sorry. I can only talk about my setup - it's the plunger kit from Zeb. ( plunge, key-encoder + nudge ) I think it works quite well. I hope however that it even will be better once I put the extra effort into completing the build. Looking at the videos from other solutions, it seems they all work more or less the same. Guess it is all software after that. Zeb' solution is custom for what I hear - neither klz25 nor joywarrior.

Habe you had time to complete your build? I have zebs as well and curious if you can share your settings for vpx.
